DEHANDE DE BREVET D'INVENTION Société dite : HEINRICH KOPPERS G.m.b.H.

INVENTION PATENT APPLICATION Company known as: HEINRICH KOPPERS G.m.b.H.
Water gas production plant, Patent application filed in Germany on. August 2, 1943.
The present invention relates to an installation for the production of gas to water by reciprocating blowing. hot coke or other fuel followed by delivery of steam.
It is common to connect gas generators. has water at. intermittent operation, single chamber including. the refractory charge is able to store the sensible heat of the blowing gases which escape at a relatively high temperature from the gasification vessel and are then burnt. During the gasification period, water vapor is passed through this chamber) this vapor thus heating up regeneratively by contact with the uncovered refractory charge, until now the said regeneration chambers being generally arranged separately. of the generator itself and were connected by tubes to this generator and possibly to a boiler to be heated by the exhaust gases.
The size of a usual water gas installation with a regeneration chamber and a boiler to be heated by exhaust gas is considerable; it also requires a lot of raw materials.
It is also known to form the gasification tank for the gasifiers from a tubular wall, the preferably vertical tubes of which form part of a steam-generating installation.

convection, to the tubular wall forming the gasification tank. As a result, the impact forces frequently marked in steam-generating installations are eliminated or significantly reduced.
The invention further provides for connecting the annular space- intermediate between the tubular wall of the gasification tank and the casing of the gasifier to the chimney or to a feed water heater, on the side opposite to the gasifier. 'entry of the hot gases, it is thus obtained that the hot gases arrive in a uniform distribution in contact with the entire peripheral surface of the tubular wall of the gasification tank.
Other important features will result from the description below of an embodiment, made with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which: Fig. 1 is a vertical section through a water gas generator according to the invention, and fig.2 is a view, partly in horizontal section, partly in view from above, of the installation of fig.lo
The gasification tank 1, limited below by a usual rotating grill 2, is formed by a series of vertical tubes 3, joined together tightly, and which are connected at the top to an annular water chamber 4, and in bottom to an annular water chamber 5.
From the upper chamber 4 leaves the pipe, 6, going to a vapor accumulation tank 7, connected by the return pipe 8 to the lower annular chamber 5.
The gasification tank is limited at the top by the dome. 9 in refractory masonry, which is combined. the feed or fuel device 10. Laterally, in the wall of this dome, there was the outlet 11 for usable gas and an opening 12, through which the blowing gas can exit into a channel 14 lined with refractory masonry and controlled by the slide 13, this channel led. - health to the regeneration chamber 15.
The gasification tank 1 at. the regeneration chamber 15 located close to it are arranged in a common casing 16 which, as shown in fig. 2 is preferably widened somewhat on one side, and to such dimensions as between the tubular wall
