" DEMARREUR AUTOMATIQUE POUR MOTEUR ASYNCHRONE
MONOPHASE A PHASE AUXILIAIRE "

"AUTOMATIC STARTER FOR ASYNCHRONOUS MOTOR
SINGLE-PHASE TO AUXILIARY PHASE "
The automatic starters for single-phase asynchronous motors with auxiliary phase used to date are generally made up of well-known centrifugal contactors working with more or less precision, subject to maladjustment and relatively expensive cost. .
Other starting systems involve a push button bypassing the auxiliary phase but requiring a push button operation which precludes any automaticity.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to achieve perfect automaticity at an excessively low cost price.
The apparatus of which the invention is the object is characterized by a coil traversed by the current of the main phase. this coil is provided with an iron core moving along a stroke that can be varied. This device also includes contacts which are short-circuited when the core is swallowed by the coil.
The diagram appended to this memory represents by way of example only one embodiment according to the invention.

We can follow in the drawing the process of the following operation 1
When the motor switch A is closed, a current which is stronger than the normal current flows through the motor windings, as well as in the coil B attracts the core C which in its course short-circuits. the auxiliary phase. # Even when the motor is hooked up, the current will decrease and return to normal. At this moment, the hub C falls back and the auxiliary phase is cut.
The advantages of this system can be stated as follows.
I. Single starting maneuver since the switching on of the engine switch is not followed by another new maneuver.
2. Absolute precision since the duration of the auxiliary phase engagement is strictly equal to the starting duration.
3. Very low production cost since no complicated or costly mechanism is involved in the construction.
