"Adjustment device for warp threads in circular weaving machines".
This invention relates to circular looms for weaving hemp sheaths or the like.
In these circular looms, it is important, in order to ensure that the sheaths remain airtight under high pressures, to keep both the trame yarns and the warp yarns under high tension so as to obtain a tight texture.
In the circular looms used hitherto, the warp threads are each loaded with a weight suspended from the thread between two guide rods located between the spools and the strings of the loom. These weights must be relatively heavy and the wire is consequently subjected to a very great effort, further increased by the kinetic energy of the weight during the drop thereof.

during the return movement of the wire at the end of the spanner.
The breaking of warp threads is therefore very common.
The object of the present invention is to provide a device for adjusting the warp threads, by means of which the aforementioned drawback is overcome since the threads can be kept sufficiently taut and the tension can also be adjusted. adjusted using very light weight.
According to the invention, the device comprises at least two parallel rods over which the warp threads are passed in an S-shaped formation, and which are fixed on a support mounted to pivot so as to be able to adjust the position of the line passing through the centers of the rods and hence the portion or arc of the circumference of the rods over which the threads slide. Advantageously, the adjusting device can be arranged between the spools of the warp threads and the place where the tension weights are suspended from the warp threads. The rods can have different lengths so that each device can be used to adjust a greater or lesser number of wires, the rods possibly having peripheral grooves for guiding the wires.
The drawing schematically illustrates an embodiment of an adjustment device according to the invention.
In the drawing, 1 indicates the weaving ring or gauge at the upper edge of which the weaving is carried out, and 2 indicates the woven sheath which, by the action of weaving, is gradually pushed downward through the gauge and the pipe 3 who wears it. 4 rewinding of the weft yarn, 5 the sector support and 6 the sector pressing the weft thread between the warp threads.
The warp threads which are indicated by 7 and 7 'are passed from the spools 8 and 8', through the guides 9, over the guide rods 10,11 and from there through the known strings 14,14 'until the weaving ring 1. The tension weight is shown at 15 and is suspended in a chain wire loop between guide rods 10 and 11.

In the embodiment shown, the adjustment device is placed between the coils 8, 8 'and the guides 9. The device comprises rods 16 and 17 which are fixed at each end in a support 18 which is rotatably mounted on a pivot 19, as illustrated in broken lines. The warp threads are passed in an S-shaped formation around the rods 16 and 17. The threads can optionally be passed over a guide rod 20 arranged between the spools and the adjustment device, so that the warp threads are passed from approximately vertically between the coils and said guide rod.
