La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication de pièces en partie sphériques en partant d'un tube. Elle concer- ne plus spécialement la fabrication de raccords à rotule employés généralement dans les canalisations servant au transport de l'air comprimé, de l'eau, du gaz et autres fluides.
Dans les réalisations actuelles de ce genre de pièces, l'on procède de la façon suivante : part d'un lopin d'acier qui est matricé au mouton de manière à en provoquer l'expansion et l'on obtient ainsi une pièce nécessitant une main d'oeuvre impor- tante. La figure 1 du dessin annexé montre en coupe cette pièce usinée. Le forage du passage central axial est une opération con- séquente et les faces terminales nécessitent un finissage ; lapièce terminée doit être cémentée et.-trempée après rectification de la face extérieure sphérique au droit du joint d'étanchéité qui s'applique sur ces corps de rotule. Ces opérations sont coû- teuses et la masse de métal employé est lourde et influence

pareillement le prix de revient.
Selon la présente invention ce genre de pièces sera fabriqué en partant d'un tronçon de tube de diamètre convenable et un bout du tube sera mandriné de façon à obtenir son expansion ou épanouis- sement, la partie expansée étant ensuite soumise à un matriçage attaquant la face extérieure pour imprimer la forme sphérique à la dite partie en traitement.Ces opérations sont prévues à chaud.
Les pièces finies qui présentent la forme illustrée en coupe dans la figure 2 du dessin annexé, peuvent être rectifiées, cémentées et trempées ou être soumises à toute autre opération oomplémentaire.
La nouvelle méthode restreint le temps de fabrication et l'arti- cle consomme moins de métal ; se prête tout aussi bien à l'emploi dans les canalisations pour fluides comprimés et autres.
Il est entendu que l'expansion du métal et le matriçage peuvent se faire éventuellement en une seule passe opératoire.
Revendications.
1)- Procédé de fabrication de pièces en partie sphériques en partant d'un tube par expansion et matriçage d'une partie adéquate du tube.
