La pièce A est un fourreau transparent constitué par un tube en acétate de cellulose ou'en polystyrène dont une des extrémités a été emboutie en forme de tronc de cône par une matrice maintenue à une température de 80 degrés en- viron. Le fourreau peut aussi être fabriqué en polyéthylène translucide. 



   L'épaisseur du tube est de o,15 mm., ce qui corres- pond à peu près à l'épaisseur des tubes compressibles à base de plomb et d'étain. 



   La pièce E est un embouti obtenu par le moyen d'une matrice progressive en partant d'un feuillard d'alumi- nium ou de fer blanc de o,2 mm. d'épaisseur. Le trou:de 3 mm. de diamètre placé dans l'axe de la pièce servira au passage de la pâte.-   ---   PLAN ? 2. --- Pièces B & D.- La pièce E complètement emboutie mais toujours maintenue par le feuillard arrive au stade du découpage, à ce moment, l'avant-dernier poinçon de la matrice progressive dé- coupe la pièce B pendant que le dernier poinçon découpe la pièce D. - 
A chaque coup de presse, les pièces B et D sont ainsi précipitées simultanément dans 2 récipients dis- tincts. La pièce B servira à fixer le goulot du tube. La pièce D qui est une couronne servira à la fermeture du tube.

Au tour, j'ai repoussé le filet de la pièce B au moyen d'une molette montée sur billes et inclinée suivant la rampe du filet, la pièce étant placée sur un mandrin fileté et tournant continuellement à rebours. 



   Dans le cas de l'aluminium, le raccourcissement de la pièce par l'action du repoussage n'est que de 1 mm. environ car il se produit aussi un amincissement de la tôle. 



  Pièce C.- La pièce C, qui est le goulot, est emboutie hors d'un autre feuillard et a, en plus du filet, le bord finement strié. 



   --- PLAN N  3. ---        Montage   du tube. - Le mandrin M, en acier poli, est fixé ver- ticalement dans un support. L'embouti B est vissé à fond sur le mandrin et le fourreau A s'y place également. 



   Le goulot C est alors vissé à bloc en appuyant les doigts sur la partie striée. La partie cônique du fourreau étant ainsi serrée entre les 2 emboutis. 



  On dévisse le tube en le prenant à pleine main. 



   Les tubes montés sont imprimés à la marque ' du produit à emballer dont la couleur sert de fond à cette impression. 



   Il sera logique de tenir le goulot par la partie striée pour visser et dévisser le bouchon en bakélite dont le tube sera muni.

   Une couronne D sera placée sur chaque tube. Le casier sera introduit dans l'appareil de fermeture dont la glissière R permet de contrôler si les couronnes D ont été encastrées à fond. 



   Le rapprochement des deux mâchoires P et Q, qui sont maintenues à une température de 80 degrés environ, opère la fermeture de la dizaine de tubes.

   Nous sommes dans l'ère des matières plastiques et les possibilités de l'acétate de cellulose, par exemple, sont très vastes dans le domaine de l'emballage.- Le tube transpa- rent n'est pas seulement compressible, mais il est aussi légè- rement élastique de sorte qu'une fois rempli il conserve sa forme jusqu'au moment de son utilisation tandis que le tube à base de plomb et d'étain est quelquefois déformé et même à moitié écrasé avant d'être utilisé. 



   Le tube transparent s'aplatit progressivement au fur et à mesure de l'emploi et cet aplatissement est maintenu naturellement, par la pression atmosphérique malgré l'élasti- cité du fourreau. La pâte emballée étant visible, on peut l'exprimer jusqu'à la dernière goutte. 



   Le tube transparent est simplement imprimé, mais le tube métallique doit être complètement enduit de couleur laquée et ensuite imprimé.- La surface brillante du tube trans- parent permet une belle présentation.

Le polystyrène sera utilisé pour la brillantine et les fards gras dont il importe de voir la couleur. 



   L'acétate de cellulose conviendra pour les cou- leurs broyées à l'huile, car l'huile de lin pénétrant dans les pores de l'acétate de cellulose s'y dessèche et rend la pellicule parfaitement imperméable. 



   Des tmbes en polyéthylène pourront contenir des cirages ou des produits à base d'acides ou d'hydrocarbures. 



   Des tubes transparents de grandes dimensions pourraient, éventuellement, servir à emballer des produits alimentaires à l'état pâteux pour lesquels les emballages sont cautionnés. Or, le tube transparent est un emballage perdu. 



   Enfin, des tubes transparents dont le goulot serait embouti avec une fine camule pourraient contenir des huiles et graisses spéciales pour machines et moteurs.
