"Dispositif pour marquer les pièces de tissus
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
42.

"Device for marking pieces of fabric
EMI1.1
and machine for its manufacture, 51
It is customary in laundries or dyers, to mark the objects to be cleaned in order to avoid confusion. This marking is usually done by inscribing on the objects with a colored thread a number or the name of the person to whom the said objects belong or even by sewing a small strip of fabric on which this number or this number is written. last name. The inscription is made, either with a pen or with a marking machine on the object itself, using either an indelible ink or an invisible ink, the reading then being in "black light" ".
Such a marking, if it is simple, however has the drawback of being relatively long to carry out and stains the parts to be identified when the marking is done on the part itself and in ink.
The present invention relates to a removable mark, the installation of which is very rapid, which avoids the inconvenience of
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
mentioned above and therefore makes the marking much more economical.
The mark in accordance with the invention is formed by a thin metal part partially folded in half, the two folded faces of which are provided with pins and at least one of which has a reference, for example a serial number.
To fix such a mark on an object, it suffices to insert this object between the two faces of the mark and to complete the folding of the mark, the pins of which then penetrate into said object.
The mark may include notches making it possible to maintain a colored lace on an object, between one of its faces and the said object, and it can itself be colored by an anodic oxidation process such as that known under the name of "Aluminitage"
The present invention also relates to a machine for manufacturing the mark described above.
This machine basically comprises in combination a flat support, guide means for maintaining a metal strip on the support normally to the latter, means for printing, preferably by stamping, the desired reference on the metal strip, means for pierce in the strip the pins with which the finished mark must be provided, means for cutting the strip to the desired length, means for arching the mark thus obtained, means for driving the strip and finally a drive shaft which can be rotated and arranged to ensure the operation of all the aforementioned means.
The accompanying drawings show an exemplary embodiment of a mark in accordance with the invention as well as that of a machine for making this mark.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
In these drawings fig. 1 is a perspective view of a marker fig 2 is a cross section thereof; Fig 3 is a plan view after folding onto an object; ig. 4 is a plan view of the machine; fig. 5 is a section along V-V of FIG. 4; fig 6 is a section along VI-VI of fig. 4; fig 7 is a section along VII-VII of fig. 4; fig. 8 is a section along VIII-VIII of FIG. 4.
As shown in Figs. 1 to 3, the mark according to the invention is formed by a thin metal part 1, for example made of aluminum, partially folded in half.
Each of its faces is provided with pins 2. and comprises an inscription in relief 3. Two notches are made in the part 1 at the fold.
To fix a mark on an object 5, this object is inserted between the two faces of the part and the folding is completed after having optionally placed a colored lace 6 between the object 5 and one of the faces of the mark so that the One of the longitudinal edges of this lace is located between the tongue 7 formed by the cutting of the notch and the said face of the mark.
The machine for making the marks shown in figs 4 to 8 comprises a fixed metal table 8 on which are placed supports 9 making it possible to guide normally to this table a metal strip 10 whose width is equal to the width of the mark to be made. . Below this table are fixed bearings, one of which, the bearing 12, is visible in the drawings, and intended in particular to support
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
a control shaft 11 provided with drive means, not shown.
On the table 8 are mounted so as to be able to slide perpendicularly to the strip 10 two elements 13 to which are fixed parts 14 bearing in relief the inscriptions which must include the finished mark. Opposite the elements 13, but behind the strip 10, there is an anvil 15 on which this metal strip rests. On an axis 16 supported by the bearings fixed under the table, two levers 17 are pivotally mounted. The end 17a of each of these levers, which is rounded, is engaged in a transverse slot 18 of one of the elements 13 and a return spring 19 is fixed on the one hand to the frame of the machine and on the other hand to said lever 17.
On the shaft 11 is fixed a cam 20, the profile of which comprises a spout 20a and which cooperates with a finger 17a of the lever 17.
Following the anvil 15 and the element 13 are slidably mounted, parallel to said element 13 and on either side of the strip 10, two elements 21 and 22, one of which, the element 21, carries punches 23 of triangular section while the other, element 22, is provided with the dies corresponding to the punches 23. On pins 24 supported by the bearings are pivotally mounted two angled levers 25, one of which ends is rounded and is engaged in a transverse slot 26 of the element 21 or 22 while the other carries a roller 27 rolling on a cam 28.
Each of the levers cooperates with a separate cam, the two cams 28 being similar but offset by a certain angle with respect to each other. The cams 28 are fixed on the shaft 11 and their profile is formed by two ares of circles of different diameters and connected together.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
The table 8 is hollowed out at 29 and, in this recess, is placed a rectangular plate 30 of which two of the opposite edges are held by plates 31 placed one- on the table and the other under the latter, thus forming slides for the plate. 30. Under the table 8 is mounted sliding normally to the strip 10 a connecting rod 32. controlled by an ovaloid cam 33 fixed to the shaft 11. This connecting rod 32. is articulated at one end of an angled lever. 34 pivoted at 35 on the machine frame. The second end of the lever 34 forms a fork in which engages a finger 36 fixed on the plate 30.
On the plate 30 is fixed a part 37 comprising a groove 38 of semi-circular section and a slot 39.
On the other hand, on this plate is slidably mounted an element 40 carrying a knife 41 and a tool 42 able to penetrate respectively into the slot 39 and the groove 38. The end of the knife protrudes that of the tool 42 of so that the knife acts on the metal strip 10 before said tool. On a pin 43 supported by an auxiliary bearing 44 is pivotally mounted an elbow lever 45, one end of which is rounded and engaged in a transverse slot 46 of the element 40 while the other carries a roller 47 rolling on a cam 48 fixed to the shaft 11. The profile of this cam is formed by three arcs of a circle of different diameters and connected to one another.
The smallest diameter arc is the largest while the medium diameter arc is the smallest and spans about 30.
The various sliding elements 13, 21, 22. and 40 are guided by guides 49 fixed on the table 8.
The machine, which has just been described, operates
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
the following way. An aluminum strip 10 is introduced between the guides 9 and it is made to slide until it reaches the edge 50 of the part 37 '. The shaft 11 is set in motion, the latter rotating for example in the direction of arrow 51.
At each revolution of this shaft, the beak 20a of the cam 20 pushes the finger 17a of the lever 17 and then suddenly releases this lever. Under the effect of the return spring 19, the latter drives the element 13, the part 14 of which bearing the desired inscription in relief abruptly strikes the part of the metal strip 10 resting on the anvil 15. The inscription is thus reproduced by stamping on this part of the metal strip.
Likewise, at each revolution of the shaft 11, the cam 28, on which the rollers 27 fixed to the levers 25 move, produces, by means of these levers, the displacement of the elements 21 and 22 towards the metal strip. The punches 23 of the element 21 cooperating with the corresponding dies of the element 22 produce in the strip 10 triangular pins similar to those of a paper pin.
The preceding operations having been carried out, the cam 48 similarly produces a displacement of the element 40 towards the strip 10 (the roller 47 rolling at this moment on the arc of medium diameter of this cam). As a result of this movement, the knife 41 penetrates the strip but not enough to cut it. Then the cam 33 rotating inside the connecting rod 32 drives this connecting rod in the direction of the arrow 52 which produces the pivoting of the elbow lever 34 in the opposite direction to that of clockwise. The element 40 is thereby moved to the left by a distance equal to the length of an unfolded mark by driving the strip 10 attached to the knife.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
42.
The cam 38 continuing to rotate, the roller 42 slides over the arc of larger diameter of this cam and the element 40 moves again towards the strip cutting the latter, the cut part forming the mark. desired, and by arching this mark using its tool 42. The element 40 then resumes its original position while the elements 13, 21 and 22. move again, the cycle recommencing.
We thus see that at each turn of the shaft There corresponds the shading of a part of the strip, the drilling of the pins in another part of the already stamped strip and finally the cambering and cutting of the strip. '' a third part of the strip already stamped and provided with pins,
The drive means of the shaft 11 may be of any type known per se and be constituted, for example, by an electric motor whose movement is transmitted to said shaft by means of belts and a friction clutch. .
Finally, a counter is advantageously wedged on the shaft 11 so as to indicate the number of marks produced.
CLAIMS 1. Device for marking pieces of fabrics and similar objects characterized in that it is formed by a thin metal part partially folded in half, the two folded faces of which are provided with pins and at least one of which has a reference by example an order number.
