Pour mieux comprendre l'idée sur laquelle se base l'invention, nous donnons ci-après une description de deux modes de réalisation de cette invention référés au dessins annexé dans lequel;

JOINT BY STUDS FOR THE UNION OF METAL STRUCTURAL ELEMENTS
ESPECIALLY FOR TUBULAR ELEMENTS WHOSE AXES ARE TWO. TO TWO
IN THE SAME PLAN
In the construction of tubular hangers with natural materials, each post of the structure supporting the wooden formwork receives considerable loads which are unloaded through the meshes of the structure on the supports of the hangers. The transmission of these loads, from the formwork to the supports, by means of tubes connected by orthogonal joints, gives rise to considerable difficulties and this for two substantial reasons: 1) - The orthogonal joint opposed to sliding a relatively resistance limited.
2) - It also generates an eccentricity which, in the case of very considerable loads, produces significant forces in the tubes which can equalize the value of the safety loads.
However, the problem has been considered of achieving, using a suitably designed joint, a direct transmission of these loads from the formwork to the supporting locations, exclusively through the tubes and without having to resort to the auxiliary of other intermediate tubes connected to the former by orthogonal joints.
Apart from that, it becomes necessary to reduce the support points in the arches and in general the size of the structure in the river bed to a minimum, in order to allow the maximum effusion of the water.
This is why we generally adopt the system of beam piles, either fan-shaped according to which from one or more supports leave a series of tubes, arranged in a fan pattern and on which the vertical tubes directly supporting the formwork are fixed.
It is therefore a question of the need to produce a joint by which the junction can be obtained between the vertical upright which starts from the formwork and the inclined upright which forms part of the fan and which is mounted on the first with an inclination. variable.
The resolution. of this specific problem has led to the creation of the stud joint which is the object of the present invention and is pro-

In general, it is posed to achieve the union of two or three metallic construction elements, especially tubular, the axes of which, while being two by two in the same plane, however present a variable inclination in certain uses, this joint consisting of two half-joints connected to each other by bolts arranged in appropriate ear cups provided for this purpose on said half-joints.
The cavity formed by these two half-seals is cylindrical and embraces a total of a lower circular arc, or at most equal to 360.
Each of said half-joints is provided with a pin turned on the opposite side of its cavity and which has the axis in the same plane as the axis of the cavity itself.
If the two half-joints do not cover the entire circle of the angle (360) but only part of it, then it is possible for the two half-joints to assume various reciprocal positions around their axis, so that the axes studs form a certain desired angle between them.
To better understand the idea on which the invention is based, we give below a description of two embodiments of this invention referred to the accompanying drawings in which;
Figs. 1 and 2 show the two half-joints, each fitted with a stud 3 whose axis is in the same plane as that of the seal cavity, but - in the case of the figure - is not normal to the opening of the arc embraced by the half-joint.
This arc being the same for the two half-joints, it amounts, according to the drawing, to approximately 160. Each of the two half-joints is entirely, including its atria, in the same position relative to the opening of the arch. It is therefore possible to rotate the half-seal 2 on the half-seal 1 or rotate 40 around their common longitudinal axis a-a.
To succeed in this operation, the two "T" bolts 4 and 5 are attached by their wings 6 in the corresponding semi-cylindrical seats 7 of the half-joint 2, while the rods of the bolts 4 and 5 pass through the 9 holes suitably countersunk. Similarly, the nuts 10 tighten the bolts on the lugs 11 of the other half-seal 1, by means of the half-round plates 12, which take their seat in substantially half-cylindrical cavities forming an integral part. of the joint itself, so as to allow the reciprocal rotation of the two half-joints over an angle of 40, according to the drawing, around their axes, and consequently to allow the inclination of the two studs to be varied within the same limits.
The joint by tilting studs therefore achieves, in the specific case of tubular arches, the direct transmission without eccentricity and without slipping of the vertical component of the load of the formwork carried by the vertical tube to the inclined tube of the fan.
Further, the gasket is designed in such a way as to allow the assembly and disassembly of the gasket without the need to separate the parts thereof, as on one side the lugs 11 and 13 of the upper and lower studs are closed. both, while on the other side the only ear of the lower stud 13 is closed; while that of the upper stud 11 is open, so that by properly unscrewing the nut 10, the stud 4 can be taken out, rotating it around the axis of the hinge, while the other stud 5 can be removed through the hole after removing the nut 10.
According to Figs. 3 and 4 we see another embodiment of the invention, in which the axes of the two studs are aligned (axial joint).
The axes of the two studs are normal to the openings of the interlocking arches; bolts 4 and 5 do not require the presence of cylindrical plates, and their ear cups do not require slots or openings for their assembly and disassembly.

The studs have, according to the illustrated embodiment 'a cross section which can be inserted into a circle which will be. equal to the hole of the tubular elements to be joined,
It goes without saying that the exemplary embodiments and illustrations which we have just described do not have a limiting value, and always allow the variation of their constructive details, without thereby departing from the scope of protection of the present invention.
