Description

COMPRESSIONAL MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF A CONSTRUCTION PLATE, AS WELL AS
CONSTRUCTION PLATE MANUFACTURED ACCORDING TO THIS PROCEDURE.
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing under compression a building plate of the cement type of wood wool, in which the plate channels are provided by means of spaced cores having a cross section such as the space. between two neighboring cores decreases regularly from the upper side and the lower side of these cores towards the middle of said cores.
From this known method, in which cores having protrusions are used, the method according to the present invention differs, because cores having a smooth outer surface are employed, so that by the cooperation of the pressure and cores the material is compressed in the direction of pressure as well as in a direction transverse to said direction of pressure and to the longitudinal direction of the cores.
The material is therefore compressed from two sides.
Although by two-sided compression the amount of material employed to fill the spaces between the cores is proportionately somewhat greater than the amount needed to fill said spaces in the well-known building plate having channels, it is uses a total of less material than would be necessary for a massive plate of the same dimensions
The strength of the sections of the plate between the conduits or cores, however, increases considerably, so that the strength of the entire plate also increases.
Attention is drawn to the fact that a building plate
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
tion having channels of the species, to which the present invention relates however coated with at least one reinforcing layer,
is known in silk But known plates are not made under compression of the material, although the pressure of wood wool cement type plates is known.
The following description explains the invention with respect to the drawing.
Figo 1 shows a view of a building plate having channels provided in the plate; Fig 2 shows a section through II-II in fig 1; FIG. 3 shows, on a larger scale, a cross section through the plate during the manufacture of said plate.
The building plate 1 according to figures 1 and 2 made of wood wool cement is provided with longitudinal channels 2 and grooves 3.
The manufacture of the plate takes place as follows
After (see fig. 3) tubes 4 have been placed in the mold, the wood wool cement 7 provided around said tubes is compressed simultaneously on the upper side by the plate 5 and on the lower side by the plate 60
When the material is compressed in the direction of the arrows. 9 said material will be compressed at the same time between the tubes 4. To facilitate the sliding of the material .. the tubes are preferably greased.
In this way, zones of great solidity are obtained between the tubes, which zones are largely in the form of Io
CLAIMS.
1. A method of manufacturing under compression a building board of the cement type of wood wool., In which the building board are provided channels by means of spaced cores having a cross section such as space between two neighboring cores decreases regularly from the upper side and the lower side of said cores towards their center, characterized in that cores having a smooth outer surface such that, by the cooperation of the pressure and the cores, the material is compressed in the direction of pressure as well as in a direction transverse to this direction of pressure and to the longitudinal direction of the cores.
