L'invention est relative à des pinceaux du type dans lequel une touffe plate de poils est fixée à une extrémité dans une virole en tôle attachée à un manche et dans lequel l'extrémité libre ou de travail des poils est inclinée transversalement par rapport à l'axe du manche., l'arête antérieure de la virole étant inclinée de façon correspondante.
L'objet de l'invention consiste à apporter une amélioration aux qualités de travail d'une telle brosse et l'invention comprend une virole pour brosse du type décrit dans laquelle l'arête antérieure de la virole est inclinée seulement sur une partie de sa longueur, la partie res- tante formant sensiblement un angle droit avec l'axe longitudinal de la vi- role.

La variante représentée en Figo 3 et 4 est essentiellement semblable à la forme représentée en Figo 1 et 2, elle n'en diffère qu'en ce que les parois latérales de la virole sont inclinées réciproquement com- me représenté en Figo 4.
Dans la variante représentée en Figo 5 et 6, la partie incli- née c de l'arête antérieure de la virole occupe la partie centrale de la dite arête et peut être incurvée, comme représenté, ou elle peut être rec- tiligneo Cette partie inclinée se termine à chaque extrémité par une par- tie d qui forme un angle droit avec l'axe du pinceau. Dans l'exemple re- présenté en Figo 5 et 69 les parois latérales de la virole sont parallèles entre elles., comme représenté en Figo 60 La variante représentée en figo 7 et 8 est analogue à celle représentée en Fig. 5 et 6, excepté que les parois latérales sont inclinées réciproquement comme représenté en Fig. 8.

The invention relates to brushes of the type in which a flat tuft of bristles is fixed at one end in a sheet metal ferrule attached to a handle and in which the free or working end of the bristles is inclined transversely to the 'axis of the handle, the front edge of the ferrule being inclined correspondingly.
The object of the invention is to provide an improvement in the working qualities of such a brush and the invention comprises a brush ferrule of the type described in which the front edge of the ferrule is inclined only over part of its length, the remaining part forming substantially a right angle with the longitudinal axis of the screw.
