DISPOSITIF POUR LA COMMANDE DE LA LAME D'UNE FAUCHEUSE, MONTEE A
MOUVEMENT ALTERNATIF.

DEVICE FOR CONTROL OF THE BLADE OF A MOWER, MOUNTED IN
ALTERNATIVE MOVEMENT.
The invention relates to a device for controlling the blade, mounted in reciprocating motion, of a mower, this control being provided by means of a rotating shaft and by means of an oscillating lever mounted at rotation in a journal arranged perpendicular to the plane of movement of the blade, one end of this lever being articulated to the blade.
The invention consists in that the oscillating lever carries at its end remote from the blade two plane guide plates, parallel to each other and to the axis of the journal and between which engages a crank knob provided with a slide, this crank button being joined to a crank plate fixed to the rotary shaft, the arrangement being such that the longitudinal axis of the crank button is inclined with respect to the axis, perpendicular to the journal of the oscillating lever, of the rotary shaft, so that the point of intersection of the two axes is situated on the axis of the journal.
The crank plate, the journal, as well as all the intermediate members, will advantageously be housed in the sealed housing of the oscillating lever. This oil-tight closure is particularly simple when the journal is provided with a right through drilling, made perpendicular to its longitudinal axis and in which the oscillating lever is fitted. Preferably, this journal is mounted at both ends in the rocker lever housing.
The shaft which ensures the rotation of the crank plate is advantageously connected to the control motor of the mower by elastic coupling members, such as belts, axial elastic coupling, etc. The control can however also be done by using a chain which, without being elastic by itself, allows lateral displacement of the driven transmission pulley, relative to the driving pulley.

The device according to the invention offers notable advantages which reside in that the crank plate and the oscillating lever can be easily separated from one another, which facilitates the dismantling of the machine for cleaning. In addition, the sliding friction which arises between the swing lever and the crank plate is limited to two flat sliding surfaces and a borehole, which can be easily established and mounted and the lubrication of which can be easily provided by the bath. oil, so that jamming cannot occur and the friction forces involved are very minimal.
An exemplary embodiment of the object of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings in FIG. 1 shows the device in elevation; Fig. 2 is a plan view, certain members being shown in section in the two figures.
Two parallel guide plates 2, 2 'are fixed, by screwing for example, at the end remote from the cutting blade, of the oscillating lever 1, the connection of which to this blade is not shown. Between these two plates 2, 2 'is inserted a slide 3 mounted to rotate around the longitudinal axis KK of the crank button 4. The latter is rigidly mounted in the crank plate 5 fixed on the rotary shaft 6 and is inclined. on the RR axis of the shaft 6.
The inclination of the crank button 4 is chosen such that its longitudinal axis KK forms with the axis RR of the rotary shaft 6 an angle [alpha], the apex S of which is located on the longitudinal axis LL of the journal 7. The crank plate 5 and rotary shaft 6 are supported by ball bearings 8 and 9.
The oscillating lever 1 is fitted into a borehole made in the journal 7, which has a suitable thickness for this purpose, this borehole being oriented transversely to the longitudinal axis L-L of said journal. The latter is itself supported by the two bearings 10 embedded in the housing 11 of the oscillating lever. This casing is joined to the casing 12 of the crank plate, from which the rotary shaft 6 emerges at point 13 through an oil-tight seal. The space between the plate can therefore be filled with oil. crank and journal, which ensures perfect lubrication of all moving parts.
The control of the shaft 6 is preferably effected by means of resilient coupling members, for example, and as shown, by means of a transmission pulley 14 connected by V-belts 15 to the motor, not shown. This drive can, however, also be provided by an elastic axial coupling, as well as by a chain (not shown).
The journal and the housing 11 are for example joined at points 16 to the cutting bar 17 carrying the blade (not shown).
According to a variant of this exemplary embodiment, the slide 3 is rigidly joined to the crank button 4. In this case, the latter is inserted into the crank plate 5 to rotate around its longitudinal axis KK, thanks to the provision of bearings ball bearings (nop shown), embedded in the crank plate 5 at points 18 for example.
