    1. - Membrane réalisée en une matière élastique imperméable telle que le caoutchouc, caractérisée par le fait que sur sa périphérie, elle comporte un bord métallique et que la partie adjacente à ce bord présente une surépaisseur qui, lorsque la membrane n'est pas en place, est en saillie par rapport à la surface de limitation du bord métallique qui se trouve du même côté de la membrane que ladite surépaisseur. <EMI ID=9.1>
    pouvant présenter en outre les particularités suivantes prises séparément ou. suivant les diverses combinaisons possibles :
    a) du côté opposé au bord, la surface de limitation de la surépaisseur est perpendiculaire ou pratiquement perpendiculaire au plan de la membrane; b) le bord métallique a une section rectangulaire; c) la membrane est en caoutchouc et est fixée au bord par vulcanisation.
