L'agitateur est constitué d'une spirale excentrique et irrégu- lière soudée à un axe vertical, d'une crapaudine, de deux buselures, de deux engrenages coniques, d'un axe vertical, d'une manivelle et d'une armature tu- bulaire terminée dans sa partie supérieure par une poignée.
L'appareil étant introduit dans le récipient contenant la matiè- re à travailler;l' action de la manivelle imprime un mouvement de rotation à la spirale, par l'intermédiaire des deux engrenages.
Spirale: Son faible volume et sa forme spéciale font qu'elle ne rencontre pas de résistance à la pénétration, déformée et excentrique, elle communique à la masse un battement et un mouvement semi-planétaire, le tourbillon créé par sa partie supérieure supprime les éclaboussures possibles des liquides moins denses qui, entraînés dans l'évidement central, se mélangent aux dé- pots désagrégés par le bec inférieur de la spirale.
CrapaudineElle sert de pied d'appui, est solidaire de l'axe et évite son frottement contre le fond du récipient en assurant le maintien ;de celui-ci.
Elle permet en outre une pression considérable sur l'appareil au cas où la viscosité de la matière le nécessiterait.
Cet appareil n'existe pas sur le marché; léger, peu encombrant, d'un manie- ment simple, d'une efficacité étonnante et d'un entretien négligeable. Il per- met la préparation de colles etc .. de diluer, de mélanger, de remettre en suspension les encres, et, tous genres de revêtements à appliquer au pinceau, pistolet, etc.
