PERFECTIONNEMENTS APPORTES AUX MOYENS POUR LE NETTOYAGE ET L'ENTRETIEN
DES CHAUSSURES.
Parmi les ouvrages ménagers d'exécution difficile et peu agréa- ble figure le nettoyage ou l'entretien des chaussures, l'opérateur étant généralement amené à engager l'une de ses mains dans la chaussure, tandis que de l'autre il manipule les divers instruments et produit, grattoir, crème, brosse, chiffon, etc.. nécessaires à l'opération.
L'invention remédie à cette difficulté, et elle a pour objet un instrument propre à supporter la chaussure en procurant à l'opérateur toute facilité d'accès désirable aux parties à nettoyer ou entretenir, le dit instrument pouvant en outre être fixé à un niveau commode pour l'opé- rateur,et le cas échéant être remisé dans un endroit quelconque convenable après usage.
Selon une caractéristique de l'invention, l'instrument comprend un organe de support allongé de forme générale en S, élargi et cintré, ou équipé d'une pièce élargie et cintrée à son extrémité, de manière à pou- voir s'engager par cette partie dans le bout de la chaussure, tandis qu' une patte mobile et coulissante le long du dit organe allongé peut venir prendre appui par l'intérieur sur le contrefort de la chaussure en assu- jettissant fermement celle-ci sur le dit support.
Selon une autre caractéristique de l'invention, à son extrémité libre, l'organe de support est équipé de moyens permettant de le fixer, le cas échéant de façon basculable ou inversable, à un appui approprié, en particulier à l'unir de façon amovible à une applique murale.
Selon un mode convenable de réalisation, l'organe de support allongé est constitué par un flan de tôle de contour approprié, matrice à la conformation voulue, en ménageant dans l'une des branches de l'S une fente de coulissement pour la patte mobile, l'extrémité libre du support étant repliée d'un seul ou des deux cotés pour coopérer par ce ou ces replis

avec une applique murale=
Selon un autre mode de réalisation l'organe de support allongé est constitué par une tige recourbée à la forme voulue, que la patte mobile enserre à coulissement par une de ses extrémités et sur laquelle se fixe à une extrémité, par tous moyens convenables, la ou lespièces de forme cintrée destinées à s'engager dans le bout de la chaussure.
L'autre extré- mité de la tige peut être conformée, par exemple repliée, pour s'unir à une applique ou autre appui.
Et afin que l'on puisse bien comprendre comment l'invention peut être pratiquement réalisée, elle sera décrite ci-après plus en détail en référence au dessin annexé qui montre :

Dans la fig. 1, 1 désigne un flan de tôle, découpé et matricé à la forme générale d'un S, en lui faisant comprendre une partie bombée ou cintrée 2, s'adaptant dans le bout d'une chaussure, des rebords de raidis- sement 3, un repli 4 dont les bords sont plus ou moins convergents, et une fente ou découpure 5.
Dans la partie bombée ou cintrée 2 sont pratiquées une ouvertu- re circulaire 6 et une ouverture allongée 7, de manière à permettre l'assu- jettissement de pièces bombées ou cintrées de différentes grandeurs, sui- vant la grandeur de la chaussure, notamment pour hommes et femmes, la pie- ce bombée ou cintrée 2 intégrale étant de la plus petite dimension, par exemple pour chaussure d'enfant.
La fig. 2 montre comment une pièce 2a de grandeur plus impor- tante est assujettie, par engagement de portions embouties 6a et 7a dans les ouvertures 6 et 7, et un verrou plat 8 fixé à rotation dans l'embouti 7a.
Dans la fente ou découpure 5 peut coulisser sans tourner l'ex- trémité supérieure d'une patte 9, retenue par une plaque coudée 10 reposant sur l'organe 1, l'agencement étant tel que lorsque la patte 9 est engagée dans une chaussure et écartée du bout de celle-ci, cette patte 9 vient prendre appui sur le contrefort tandis qu'une action de coincement re- tient la plaque 10 et donc la patte dans la position dans laquelle elle a été amenée le long de la fente 5, en assujettissant fermement la chaus- sure.
11 désigne une applique qui est montrée pourvue de quatre le- vées en forme de crochet 12 propres à recevoir et retenir les bords conver- gents du repli 4, l'applique comportant des moyens comme des ouvertures 13 pour la réception de vis de fixation.
On comprendra qu'une chaussure étant montée et assujettie sur l'organe 1 et celui-ci convenablement supporté, à bonne hauteur, l'opéra- teur pourra très aisément nettoyer et, ou entretenir toutes les parties de la chaussure en conservant en particulier la liberté de mouvement de ses deux mains.
Au lieu que le support 1 soit simplement replié en 14 comme le montre la figure 1, on pourrait en cet endroit y prévoir une articulation à charnière, ajustable, en sorte de permettre de fixer le support 1 dans

une position inclinée quelconque désirée.
Suivant une autre modification qu'illustre la fig. 3, le repli
4 est aménagé de manière à pouvoir retourner le support 1 sens dessus des- sous. A cet effet, on pratique dans le flan l, à l'emplacement du pli 14, des entailles procurant une patte 15 à bords convergents 16a pouvant péné- trer dans les levées en forme de crochet, 12, inférieures de l'applique
11, et l'on ménage dans les bords du repli 4 des portions convergentes 16b pouvant coopérer avec les levées en forme de crochet supérieures 12 de 1' applique. Les portions convergentes 16 du repli 4 coopèrent avec les di- tes levées dans la position normale du support 1.
Suivant une autre modification encore, montrée fig.4, la patte
9 peut être formée d'une pièce convenablement cintrée, et pourvue d'enco- ches latérales 17 coopérant avec les bords de la fente 5 pour permettre le coulissement et la retenue de la dite patte dans la position pour la- quelle elle assujettit la chaussure sur le support 1.
Dans la réalisation selon la fig. 5, le support 1 est constitué par une tige 18, qui peut comporter un repli 4 susceptible d'être engagé de façon amovible dans une applique 11a, les pièces de bout étant toutes constituées par des organes séparés, capables d'être engagés sur la tige
18 par une attache 19 fixée à leur face inférieure, et empêchés de tour- ner autour de la tige par une encoche 20 ménagée dans leur bord arrière, qui coopère avec une portion inclinée de la dite tige.
Dans cette disposition également, la patte 9 est constituée par un tronçon de tige enroulée à sa partie supérieure autour de la tige 1, comme en 21, de manière à constituer une liaison à coulissement et à coincement avec cette tige 1.
D'autres modifications encore pourraient être apportées aux dis- positifs décrits sans s'écarter des principes de l'invention, et cette der- nière englobe naturellement de telles modifications.
REVENDICATIONS.
1. Un instrument propre à supporter une chaussure en vue de son nettoyage et, ou de son entretien, qui comprend un organe allongé, de forme générale en S, élargi et cintré, ou équipé d'une pièce élargie et cintrée à son extrémité, de manière à pouvoir s'engager par cette partie dans le bout de la chaussure, et une patte mobile et coulissante le long du dit organe allongé, propre à venir prendre appui par l'intérieur sur le con- trefort de la chaussure en assujettissant fermement celle-ci sur le dit support.

IMPROVEMENTS TO MEANS FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
SHOES.
One of the household works that are difficult and unpleasant to perform is the cleaning or maintenance of shoes, the operator generally having to engage one of his hands in the shoe, while the other handles the shoes. various instruments and products, scraper, cream, brush, cloth, etc. necessary for the operation.
The invention overcomes this difficulty, and its object is an instrument suitable for supporting the shoe by providing the operator with all desirable ease of access to the parts to be cleaned or maintained, said instrument also being able to be fixed at a level. convenient for the operator, and if necessary be stored in any suitable place after use.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the instrument comprises an elongate support member of general S-shape, widened and bent, or equipped with a part widened and bent at its end, so as to be able to engage by this part in the toe of the boot, while a movable and sliding tab along said elongated member can come to bear from the inside on the buttress of the boot, firmly securing the latter on said support.
According to another characteristic of the invention, at its free end, the support member is equipped with means making it possible to fix it, where appropriate in a tiltable or invertible manner, to an appropriate support, in particular to unite it so removable to a wall light.

The other end of the rod can be shaped, for example folded back, so as to be united with an applique or other support.
And so that one can fully understand how the invention can be practically implemented, it will be described below in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing which shows:

In fig. 1, 1 designates a sheet metal blank, cut and stamped in the general shape of an S, making it include a convex or curved part 2, fitting into the toe of a shoe, stiffening edges 3 , a fold 4 whose edges are more or less convergent, and a slit or cutout 5.
In the convex or curved part 2 are made a circular opening 6 and an elongated opening 7, so as to allow the fitting of convex or curved parts of different sizes, depending on the size of the shoe, in particular for men and women, the full rounded or curved piece 2 being of the smallest dimension, for example for children's shoes.
Fig. 2 shows how a larger part 2a is secured, by engaging stamped portions 6a and 7a in openings 6 and 7, and a flat latch 8 rotatably fixed in stamping 7a.
In the slot or cutout 5 can slide without rotating the upper end of a tab 9, retained by a bent plate 10 resting on the member 1, the arrangement being such that when the tab 9 is engaged in a shoe. and spaced from the end thereof, this tab 9 comes to bear on the buttress while a wedging action retains the plate 10 and therefore the tab in the position in which it was brought along the slot 5 , securing the shoe firmly.
11 designates a bracket which is shown provided with four hook-shaped levers 12 suitable for receiving and retaining the converging edges of the fold 4, the bracket comprising means such as openings 13 for receiving fixing screws.
It will be understood that when a shoe is mounted and secured to the member 1 and the latter properly supported, at the right height, the operator can very easily clean and / or maintain all the parts of the shoe while in particular keeping the freedom of movement with both hands.
Instead of the support 1 being simply folded up in 14 as shown in FIG. 1, one could in this place provide a hinged articulation, adjustable, so as to allow the support 1 to be fixed in

any tilted position desired.
According to another modification illustrated in FIG. 3, the fold
4 is arranged so as to be able to turn the support 1 upside down. To this end, notches are made in the blank 1, at the location of the fold 14, providing a tab 15 with converging edges 16a which can penetrate into the lower hook-shaped lifts, 12, of the applique.

9 can be formed from a suitably curved piece, and provided with lateral notches 17 cooperating with the edges of the slot 5 to allow the sliding and the retention of said tab in the position for which it secures the boot. on the support 1.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5, the support 1 is constituted by a rod 18, which may include a fold 4 capable of being removably engaged in an applique 11a, the end pieces all being constituted by separate members, capable of being engaged on the rod
18 by a clip 19 fixed to their underside, and prevented from rotating around the rod by a notch 20 provided in their rear edge, which cooperates with an inclined portion of said rod.
Also in this arrangement, the tab 9 is constituted by a rod section wound at its upper part around the rod 1, as in 21, so as to constitute a sliding and wedging connection with this rod 1.
Still other modifications could be made to the devices described without departing from the principles of the invention, and the latter naturally embraces such modifications.
CLAIMS.
1. An instrument suitable for supporting a shoe with a view to its cleaning and, or its maintenance, which comprises an elongated member, generally S-shaped, widened and bent, or equipped with a part widened and bent at its end, so as to be able to engage via this part in the toe of the shoe, and a movable and sliding tab along said elongated member, suitable for coming to bear from the inside on the buttress of the shoe by firmly securing this one on the said support.
