DISPOSITIF D'ASSERVISSEMENT EN FONCTION D'UNE INTENSITE ELECTRIQUEo
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

CONTROL DEVICE BASED ON ELECTRICAL CURRENT
The object of the present invention is a control device as a function of an electrical current or in dependence on a current relay, with a view, in particular, to acting on a contactor relay, the switching on or off values of which are adjustable separately.
The problem which the invention proposes to solve consists, for example, in the control of the auxiliary motor actuating a distribution mechanism in a grinding installation, as a function of the power absorbed by the main motor driving the grinder. When the main motor current reaches a determined value, a relay must trigger and cut off the power supply to the auxiliary motor. When this current has dropped to a determined value lower than the previous one, the relay must switch on in order to supply the auxiliary motor again. The purpose of this control is to make the installation operate under optimum conditions of efficiency and safety.
The control device according to the invention makes it possible to achieve this result in a safe and economical manner, by offering great ease of adjustment as to the extent of the range separating the engagement of the release of the relay. enslavement. This device can also be applied to existing installations to be controlled, without it being necessary to transform them.
This device is characterized by the fact that it comprises a current transformer whose secondary is the seat of an induced voltage proportional to the intensity on which the control depends, an electron tube and a contactor relay inserted in the plate circuit. of said tube, said
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
tube comprising at least one grid on the bias voltage of which are superimposed differential bias voltages taken at least in part from the voltage induced in the secondary of said transformer, with a view to blocking or unblocking the plate current of said tube, according to the variations of said induced voltage.
In the accompanying drawings, given by way of nonlimiting examples, FIGS. 1 and 2 are electrical diagrams of control devices corresponding to a first embodiment, FIGS. 3 and 4 are electrical diagrams of control devices responding to a second embodiment.
The device shown in FIG. 1 comprises at 1 one of the cables of the installation (for example one of the power supply phases of the main motor driving the crusher) through which the electric current for controlling the servo-control passes. Around this cable playing the role of primary, is arranged the secondary 2 of a current transformer which is the seat of an induced alternating voltage rectified by the rectifier 3, damped by the capacitor 4 and applied negatively by the intermediary of the potentiometer 5 on the grid 6 of the electron tube 7. This induced voltage is thus superimposed on the fixed bias voltage of the grid, of positive polarity taken by the pipe 8.
As the induced negative voltage increases, it cancels out the effects of the positive bias voltage and brings gate 6 to an increasingly negative potential.
Conversely, if the induced voltage transmitted by the potentiometer 5 decreases, the potential of the gate 6 will be more and more positive.
In the first case, having reached a certain negative polarization value, the plate flow stops and relay 9 trips; the second case, arrived at a certain value of positive polarization, the plate flow becomes such that the relay 9 is activated.
The second potentiometer 10 adjusts the range between engagement and release. Indeed, when the relay 9 is triggered, the contact 11 is formed, hence an increase in the value of the negative induced voltage injected into the grid 6 by the wire 12. The induced voltage supplied by the pcteniometer 5 must therefore drop to a lower value proportional to this increase to again cause the passage of a plate current necessary for the relay to reclose.
We find in the device of FIG. 2, under the same references, the same elements as those of FIG. 1a. It differs from the preceding one in that the polarization applied to the grid 6 is of different polarity; the same applies to the polarity of the induced voltage. Therefore, in this device, the relay 9 will switch on when the induced voltage increases and vice versa. Here again, potentiometer 10 adjusts the range between engagement and release.
The diagrams of Figures 3 and 4 have the same differences as between those of Figures 1 and 2.
In the diagram of figure 3, the relay 9 engages when the induced voltage decreases.
In the diagram of figure 4, the relay 9 engages when the induced voltage increases.
In these two diagrams, the bias voltage is adjustable, therefore, it is the potentiometer 5 which regulates the value of the induced voltage causing the triggering or the engagement of the relay.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Potentiometer 10 is used to adjust the range between engagement and release.
The induced voltage applied to the grid 6 is a function on the one hand of the voltage induced in the secondary of the transformer and on the other hand of the ratio R1 of the resistances of the potentiometer 10.
R2
Therefore, the smaller this ratio, the smaller the variation in induced voltage applied to the gate. So we can this way
EMI3.1
vary the switch-on range.
If we want to obtain a more rigorous constant of the switch-on or switch-off value, the device can be supplied by means of conventional voltage regulation.
It goes without saying that it is possible, without departing from the scope of the present invention, to make any modification to the embodiments which have just been described. In particular, the induced voltage, depending on the variations of the current controlling the servo-control could be obtained, no longer using a transformer, but by means of any device capable of supplying a voltage proportional to this intensity, for example a low resistance inserted in series in one of the supply phases of the main motor.
