Claims

It is available for the installation of electrical installation devices. boxes to be fitted into the ceiling which are made of molded insulating material and executed in such a way that they can be connected to each other by suitable means. These means are for example protuberances and dovetail recesses making it possible to connect one box to another by engaging the protuberance of the first in the corresponding recess of the second. The interval between the various devices when the boxes are thus interconnected is less than the interval between two normal recessed devices, mounted close to each other.

In order to be able to use these boxes also when two apparatuses with normal individual covers are mounted close to each other, according to the present invention an intermediate element is used which makes it possible to connect to each other the mounting boxes for recessing in. the ceiling and comprising protuberances and dovetail recesses.

According to the invention ,,, a protuberance of the mounting box engages in a corresponding dovetail recess of the intermediate element, a protuberance also dovetailed of which can be engaged in a corresponding recess of the next box.

The intermediate element has a substantially semi-toric opening or a round hole. to allow the passage of wires from one box to the other In a particular embodiment, this intermediate element comprises a tubing which can be used for the introduction of an isolant tube. Figo 1 of the accompanying drawing given by way of example ... is a plan view of two boots to be fitted into the ceiling, connected together with a dovetail. Figo 2 shows the same boxes connected by the new intermediate element. Fig. 3 is a plan and side view of the intermediate element alone and FIG. 4 shows this element provided with a tubing.

In Figo 1. the dovetail protuberance 1 of box 2 engages in a corresponding recess of box 3. In the example of Figo 2. the connection between boxes 2 and 3 is made by the 'intermediate element 4. The protuberance 1 of the box 2 engages in a corresponding recess of the intermediate element 4 and the protuberance 5 of this element engages in a corresponding recess of the boot 3.

The intermediate element 4 (Figo 3) has a substantially hemi-toric opening 5 or a round hole 6, either of which can be used to pass the wires from box 2 to box 3.

The intermediate element of Figo 4 comprises a pipe 7 serving to connect the box 2 or 3 to an insulating tube.
