A cet effet, le casier à bouteilles suivant l'invention, réali- sé en carton fort ou matière similaire et pouvant se replier sur lui-même, se compose de deux pièces découpées à assembler, l'une de celles-ci comprenants deux panneaux de fond;
deux panneaux latéraux de même longueur que les panneaux de fond, et de largeur ou hauteur correspondant à la hauteur des logements du casier à former; un demi-panneau d'extrémité à chaque extrémité des panneaux latéraux, de marne largeur ou hauteur que ceuxci,et de longueur égale à la largeur d'un panneau de fond, de sorte que le demi-panneau situé à une extrémité d'un panneau latéral forme, au montage du casier, une extrémité de celui-ci avec le demi-panneau prévu à l'extrémité correspondante de l'autre panneau latéral;
marnent une demi-anse double dudit casier; l'autre pièce découpée, destinée à former le casier par assemblage avec la première pièce découpée ci-avant, comprenant.* deux éléments présentant une découpure, pour qu'ils puissent former anse, et de longueur correspondant à la longueur du casier à obtenir, ces deux éléments étant destinés à se replierl'un sur l'autre et à coiffer, au montage, les demianses formées par les éléments appropriés de la première pièce découpée ci-avant;

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The present invention relates to a rack intended to contain small number of bottles, normally sixo
There are crates of this type which however have various drawbacks. Most of these crates do not in fact offer a suitable separation between the bottles so that fairly frequent breakage of bottles is recorded during the handling or transport of the bottles. casierso Such racks, which are normally made of strong cardboard and are foldable on themselves, have the drawback, during transport, that the bottles tend to lean outwards, which results from the folding method provided for the cardboard elements.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these and other drawbacks by providing a robust rack, of easy manufacture and assembly, offering clean separations between the bottles and which, by design, brings the bottles to s 'tilt towards the inside of the rack rather than towards the outside The rack according to the invention will also offer the great advantage of allowing the mechanical introduction of the bottles, thus avoiding prohibitive manual handling.
To this end, the bottle rack according to the invention, made of strong cardboard or similar material and being able to fold up on itself, consists of two cut parts to be assembled, one of these comprising two panels. background;
two side panels of the same length as the bottom panels, and of width or height corresponding to the height of the compartments of the rack to be formed; a half end panel at each end of the side panels, of marl width or height as these, and of length equal to the width of a bottom panel, so that the half panel located at one end of a side panel forms, when the rack is assembled, one end thereof with the half-panel provided at the corresponding end of the other side panel;
at each end of the end half-panels, an element intended to form a longitudinal interior half-wall of the rack, each of these elements having a length substantially equal to half the total length of the rack to be obtained, and a width or height sufficiently greater than that of the side panels so that the portion of these internal half-walls protruding from said side panels forms a half-handle of the box with a cutout in it corresponding to the half-opening for gripping to be formed in the handle of the locker, the half-handle elements above, provided on the same side of the side panels, being intended to be superimposed, during assembly, to form a double half of the internal wall of the box, their upper ends forming this.
marnent a double handle of said locker; the other cut piece, intended to form the box by assembly with the first cut piece above, comprising. * two elements having a cutout, so that they can form a handle, and of length corresponding to the length of the box to be obtained , these two elements being intended to fold over one another and to cap, on assembly, the half-lines formed by the appropriate elements of the first piece cut out above;
two elements with five panels of width or height corresponding to that of the side panels and of the end half-panels of the first piece cut out above, and of length corresponding to that of said half-panels of the first cut-out piece, these two elements with five panels attached to the elements forming the handle only by their central panel, the end panels of these two elements with five panels being intended, during assembly, to be superimposed so that the two elements with five panels each form, by folding of these, a housing for a bottle,
being arranged on the central third of the side panels of the first cut piece of the housings of the same volume being thus formed between the first housings above and the end half - panels of the lap: first cut piece, the points to be assembled the assembly of the two cut pieces which can be joined in any way, for example by stapling, the bottle rack thus obtained being able to be folded back on itself, two end half-panels of the first cut piece,
the

two bottom panels and the handle flattening outwardly to the side panels
Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description given below by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a view of the first cutout in its unfolded position
Figure 2 is a view of the second cutout, also in its unfolded position.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of a rack according to the invention.
The first cut-out comprises, in the first place, two bottom panels 1 and 2 which can be folded over one on the other along their common edge 24 when the finished bin is folded back on itself, each bottom panel corresponds to a side panel; side panel-3 extends bottom panel 1, while side panel 4 extends bottom panel 2. The length of side panels 3 and 4 is equal to that of bottom panels 1 and 2 while their width or height is equal to that of the lodgings to be obtained for the bottles in the locker.
The side panel 3 is itself extended by two end half-panels 6 and 7, while the side panel 4 is likewise extended by the two end half-panels 5 and 8. These end half-panels are of width or height equal to that of side panels 3 and 4 and their length equal to the width of a panel, bottom 1 or 2.
Finally, in this first cut-out part of FIG. 1, panels 9 10, 11, 12 are also provided which are intended to form internal half-walls of the rack during assembly. The length of these half-walls is equal to half the length of the compartment while their width or height is greater than that of the panels 3 and 4, by an amount sufficient to allow the formation of a half-handle 26 having a cutout 27 corresponding to half of the gripping opening to be provided in the handle of the finished rack
When this cut-out piece of Figure 1 is folded, with a view to mounting the rack, the side panels 3 and 4 are arranged perpendicular to the bottom panels 1 and 2, as well as the end half-panels 5 6,
7 and 8 whose respective base edges 28, 29, 30 and 31 are placed against the edges 32, 33 34 and 35 of the bottom panels 1 and 2. As for the half-walls 9 and 10, they are placed against each other. 'other perpendicular to the bottom panels 1 and 2 followed the common edge 24 of the latter. The same applies to the other two half-walls 11 and 12. The set of half-walls 9, 10, 11 and 12 therefore form a double central wall of the rack to be obtained.
The second cutout piece (Figure 2) comprises two handles 13 and 14, opposite at their top along the common edge 36.
These handles each have a cutout 37 for gripping the finished locker To the central third of each of these handles 13 and 14 is connected an element with five panels 15, 16, 17 18 and 19, only the panel 17 being therefore integral with the handles so
When assembling the lockers, handles 13 and 14,
folded against each other are intended to cover all of the four half-handles 26 of the first cut-out piece so that they are located between these two handles 13 and 14 and that the cutouts 37 of those-- these correspond to the half-cutouts 27 of the half-handles 260
The central panels 17 are intended to be placed one against the other, comprising between them the central third of the double central wall formed by the various half-walls 9 10 9 11 and 12 ° The panels 16
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
and 18 will be arranged at right angles to the panels 17 and the panels 15 and 19 will overlap. The two series of panels 15, 16, 17,
18 and 19 will therefore each form a bottle housing located in the central third of the double central wall of the rack and of the side panels 3 and 4.
The various constituent elements can be made integral by any fixing means, for example by stapling at the appropriate places, as shown in FIG. 3. The tabs 22 (FIG.
1) extending the side panels 3 and 4, are intended to be folded over the superimposed panels 15 and 19 :, one or more clips 38 (figure
3) then passing through the panel 3, the panels 15 and 19 and the tab 22.
In the cutouts 37 of the handles 13 and 14, tabs 20 and 21 have been left, intended for assembly to be folded outwardly of said cutouts 37 (FIG. 3) in order to increase the thickness of material in the vicinity of this cutout 37 ,, in order to facilitate gripping, to increase the resistance of the rack at this location, etc.
Finally, cutouts 23 can be provided in the end half-panels 5, 6, 7 and 8 so that when these forming the ends of the box as in FIG. 3, it is easily possible to carry out a stapling between them. - corresponding walls (clips 39 and 40 in figure 3)
FIG. 3 represents the general appearance of a completed crate. It will be understood that the bottles arranged in the various housings formed, by pressing on the funds 1 and 2 will tend to tilt towards the inside of the crate, rather than towards the 'outside since said funds 1 and 2 are not integral with the interior vertical partitions of the rack formed. In addition, the bottles will be completely isolated from each other,
which therefore avoids the dangers of breakage Finally such a rack after assembly can be easily flattened. Indeed, the two bottom panels 1 and 2 will flatten one on the other towards 1-outside of the rack, along their common edge 24 The end half-panels 5 and 6 will be flattened one on the other also on the outside of the rack along their contact line 40 (figure 3), while the end half-panels 7 and 8 will fold over one another towards the inside of the locker along their line of contact 41. The other interior partitions will follow the flattening movement.
Such racks are especially suitable for transporting a small quantity of bottles, for example beer or other drink.
It is obvious, for example, that instead of having two internal half-walls 9 and 10 which are completely superimposed? One of these could be replaced by a simple tongue of short length. This is the case with marl for the superimposed panels 15 and 19, one of these can be replaced by a tab which is superimposed and fixed to the other.
It should be understood that the invention is not limited to the above details but that many modifications could be provided without departing from the scope of the present patent application.
