<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

The present invention relates to a certain number of improvements made to trousers, these improvements being able to be considered in combination or separately.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the pants have two closing tabs each extending one of the superimposed edges of the fly, the tab extending the outer edge of the fly attaching to the outside of the waistband, while the tab extending the inner edge of the fly attaches internally to the waistband.
According to another characteristic, the opening of the side pockets of the trousers is arranged at an angle with respect to the belt, and starts from the base of the latter up to the lateral vertical seam of the pantal.
According to yet another characteristic, the pants are lined internally, at the waist, with an added element, consisting of a central band of elastic material, trimmed laterally, on each side, with a band of elastic material. fabric, for example a grosgrain or satin twill ribbon, the assembly being stitched at the waist, preferably, leaving the lower edge of the elastic material and fabric assembly free.
The various support tabs provided at a distance on the outside along the belt can, moreover, be attached to the latter by stitching hidden under said belt.
Finally, the peripheral edges of the parts of the pockets inside the pants, and possibly other inside parts, can be trimmed with a tape overlapping said edges.
Other details and features will emerge from the description given below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figures 1 to 3 show three different characteristics of the pants according to the invention.
According to Figure 1, two tabs 1 and 2 are provided at the waistband 3, extending the edges 4 and, 5 of the fly. The tab 1, extending the outer edge 5 of the fly will attach to the outside of the belt, for example with a buttonhole 6 and a button 7, while the tab 2, extending the inner edge 4 of the fly, will attach inside the waistband with a buttonhole 8 and a button 9.
It will be understood immediately that the provision of the two tabs above will allow the pants to hold better at the waist.
In Figure 2, the entry 10 of a side pocket of the pants is shown. This entry starts from the base 11 of the belt 3 to end at an angle on the lateral vertical seam 12 of the pants.
It will also be noted in FIGS. 1 and 2 that the support tabs 13 arranged along the belt 3 are fixed thereto by stitching which is invisible on the outside.
Finally, in Figure 3, there is shown an inner lining of the belt 3; this trim is composed of an elastic element 14 lined, on each side, with pieces of fabric 15 and 16, constituted, for example, by a grosgrain or satin twill ribbon. The set of tapes 15 and 16 and of the elastic element 14 is manufactured in advance and then attached by stitching 17 on the inside of the belt 3.
At the front, the pants will have a lich 18, intended for the passage of the barb of the pants support belt. This way of providing better support for the trousers at the front, because the belt proper of the trousers and the support belt will thus be integral with one another.

The various characteristics shown in the drawings can obviously be combined with each other on the same trousers, with the addition of the characteristic not shown but which was discussed above, namely the lining of the peripheral edge of the parts of the pockets inside the trousers, and possibly other interior parts of the pants.
The bottom seam of the pants will be made with four threads, which will give great flexibility while ensuring great strength. The side seams of the legs will for similar reasons be made in two threads.,
It should be understood that the invention is not limited to the above details in their presentation in the drawings :; but that many modifications can be expected without departing from the scope of the present patent.
