Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

La figure 3 est une vue partielle en coupe d'un dispositif de rou- lement selon l'invention, prise à l'endroit des moyens de commande de la rotation de la cuve, tel que suivant la ligne III-III de la figure 2 ;

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   The usual horizontal drum concrete mixers are provided with running bands cooperating with rollers supported by the frame of the machine. This construction is heavy and bulky.

   The present invention provides a device for rolling the tank or drum of the concrete mixer, which does not have these drawbacks.

  According to the invention, the tank of the concrete mixer is supported by a ball bearing or the like, arranged coaxially with the tank, the latter being fixed to one of the rings of the bearing, the other ring of which is fixed to the frame of the machine. . The tank is therefore mounted in a cantilever manner on said bearing, the large dimensions of the latter allowing it to absorb the axial and radial thrusts due to the weight, as well as the shocks due to the movement of the material in the tank.

   Also according to the invention, the means for rotating the vessel around its axis are preferably formed by a toothed crown integral with the movable part of the bearing and cooperating with a pin.
 EMI1.1
 motor gnon mbntéàoati.cn.'su,: là.i.a., e fdnec.ü; ulmenteahipofm, 3some of the periphery of this one. This fixed part of the bearing can form a sealed casing enclosing the rolling mechanism and control of the rotation of the bowl, this casing forming an oil bath for this mechanism.

   The bearing supporting the tank may be arranged at any point along the length of the latter. It will advantageously be placed near the loading end of the tank. This arrangement is particularly useful in the case where the concrete mixer is provided with a loading bucket, the support and guide members of which, which rest on the frame of the machine, can then be attached to the housing of said wheel. - Finally, so as to balance to a certain extent the forces acting on this casing under the effect of the weight and of the overhang of the tank.

   Other features and advantages of the invention will result from the description of a few exemplary embodiments, which will be given below with reference to the appended schematic drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a side view of a concrete mixer according to the invention, the frame of the machine, possibly mounted on wheels, not being shown,
Figure 2 is an end view of this concrete mixer,
FIG. 3 is a partial sectional view of a rolling device according to the invention, taken at the location of the means for controlling the rotation of the tank, such as along line III-III of FIG. 2 ;

FIG. 4 is a fragmentary sectional view of an alternative embodiment of the rolling device, at the location of the means for controlling the rotation of the tank, which are in this case located at the upper part of the roller. tank, and
FIG. 5 is a fragmentary sectional view of another variant embodiment, at a point remote from the means for controlling the rotation.

   In this drawing, 1 denotes the drum or the tank of the concrete mixer, provided with usual mixing devices, such as blades, not shown in the drawing. This tank is supported by a ball bearing or the like 2 which, in the example illustrated, is located near the loading opening 3 of the tank and therefore supports the latter in a cantilever manner. .

  The mechanism for controlling the rotation of the tank is housed in a housing 4 integral with the fixed part of the bearing, and is actuated by a motor shaft 5, the drive of which is provided by any suitable means, not shown. This mechanism can be realized in various forms,

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 some of which will be described below. Anyway, the movable ring of the bearing is fixed to the tub, while the other ring of this bearing is fixed to the frame of the machine, which has not been shown in the drawing.

  The bearing can be single or double and its execution can be adapted to the requirements in each particular case. Its large dimensions allow it to absorb the stresses resulting from service requests.

   If the concrete mixer is provided with a loading bucket (skip), as shown schematically at 6, the support and guiding members 7 of the bucket, the end of which is not shown rests on the frame. , can be attached to the fixed part of the bearing 2, so as to produce a certain balancing of the forces resulting from the bucket and those resulting from the tank.

   In the embodiment according to figure 3, the tank 1 is fixed, for example by means of bolts, to the movable ring 8 of a ball bearing 9, which has an inner flange 10 forming the The loading opening 3. The outer ring 11 of the bearing is fixed to the frame of the machine and forms a housing for the mechanism for controlling the rotation of the bowl. This mechanism comprises a pinion 12 meshing with a toothed ring 13 integral with the ring 8, and actuated by a control shaft 14, by means of a reduction mechanism comprising the toothed wheel 15 integral with the pinion 12, and a pinion 16 integral with the shaft 14. The shafts of the reduction mechanism are mounted on bearings 17, 18, 19, 20.

  A removable bolt cover 21 22 forms the housing of said mechanism. The sealing of the annular casing formed by the ring 11, together with the ring 8, is provided by gaskets 23, 24. The mechanical assembly therefore runs in an oil bath, which ensures smooth running and good performance.

   The control of the rotation and the invention of the direction of travel can be mechanical or hydraulic, just like the operating system of the loading bucket. It will be understood that the support and control mechanism according to the invention is of reduced dimensions and weight. It can be produced in various construction forms, two examples of which are shown in Figures 4-5.

   In these two variants, the bearing, instead of being formed directly by the elements of the housing (8, 11 of FIG. 3), is machined separately and can be made from another material, its rings being made respectively integral with the tank and frame
In figure 4, the inner ring 25 of the bearing is fixed to the tank 1, while the outer ring 26 is fixed to the frame by the intermediary of the part 27 which forms the housing for the mechanism and supports the mechanism. control pinion 28 which is, in this case, placed at the upper part of the concrete mixer and cooperates with a toothed ring 29 formed inside the movable ring 25
In the variant according to FIG. 5, it is the outer ring 30 of the bearing which is fixed to the tank 1, while the inner ring 31 is fixed to the frame of the machine,

   by means of the part 32 which forms the housing and is provided with an outer flange 33 which surrounds the toothed crown 34 formed on the outer face of the movable ring 30 and meshing with a pinion for controlling the rotation of tank.

   It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the examples described and illustrated, to which various modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention.
