<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

The present invention relates to a lifting device for a door or window leaf, in which a lifting member, movable in height by means of a handle and guided in the base plate of the mechanism, enters into the handle. / the half hinge of the door or window leaf to be lifted. The base plate of the mechanism is fixedly connected to the frame and the handle swings in a plane perpendicular to the frame.
In the mentioned lifting device, it is in accordance with the present invention that the handle, hingedly connected to the lifting member, is hinged to the base plate by means of a hinge. taste. This new gusset connection has the advantage that the entire lifting device can be extracted by simple and clear assembly.
In a first embodiment, the lifting member is produced in the form of a sheath connected to the pin of the hinge and which must be moved relative to the base plate of the mechanism fixed to the frame.
In a second embodiment, the base plate of the mechanism is made in the form of a sheath which is, according to the present invention, hinged to the handle by means of a pair of gussets, a simple lifting mechanism. ple and rod-shaped, located between the gussets being guided in the same sheath.
With regard to further features of the present invention, reference is made to the following description and claims.
In the drawings are shown examples of execution of the lifting device.

For guiding the lifting member (\. ', 1.i: W, - base aue 2 is provided with vertical slots 5, or through which extend, according to Figures 1 and 4, simple lugs or eyebolts 6 of the lifting member 4 and the ends 6 'of which are folded back behind the base plate. according to figures 2-6, the lugs 6 mentioned are fixed for example by riveting on smaller plates 7 arranged behind the base plate 2. To ensure the upward displacement of the pins 6,6 ', that is to say of the small plate 7 in relation to the frame, these parts can be covered with a strip of t8le 8 , which is suitably attached behind the base plate 2, as shown in Figures 2-6.
The casing 11 of the half-pauw a fixed to the leaf 9 by means of the lug 10 rests with its underside on the lifting member 4. The hinge pin 12 in the hinge casing engages by above in the lifting member 4. The palm pin 12 is provided below with an annular groove 13 in which engages a threaded bolt which is screwed into the lifting member 4 (see figure 5). By means of the threaded bolt 14, which during lifting does not participate in the transmission of force, it is realized that during the descent of the lifting member, the hinge sleeve 11 and with it the leaf 9 are driven down.
Since the lifting device can be used both on the left and on the right, the pin 12 is free in the sheath 11, so that by undoing the threaded bolt 14 it can be withdrawn and the half-hinge can be removed. used returned.
The handle 15 is articulated at its lower forked part 15 ', on the lifting member 4 by means of a pin.

che 16. The end of the handle 15 'thus engages in the lifting member 4 in the form of a sheath. The end of the handle 15 'is on the other hand hinged to the bearing support 3 by means of a small link 17. The hinge pin 19 connects the link 17 to the end of the handle.
15 ',
The lifting of the leaf 9 takes place by turning or tilting the handle 15 around the pivot 19. As can be seen in Figures 2 and 3, the rod 17 first swings out and then back in, so that the articulation point 19 describes an arc of half a circumference around the articulation pivot 16, which raises the lifting member 4.
The articulation pivot 16 still retains its. position below the hinge pin 12.
As can be seen in Figures 1-3, - 'the three articulation pivots 16, 18 and 19 in the extreme positions are on a straight line, so that the pivot is articulation 19, in the lowered position , above the pivot
16 and, in the raised position, below the pivot 16. Naturally, the articulation pivot 16 consists of two pieces in axial correspondence so that the connecting rod 17 according to FIG. 3 can pass.
The movable attachment of the handle to the base plate by the intercalation of the articulation pivot has the further advantage of making possible a low construction height of the lifting device in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the frame. . This build height or the distance to the frame is anyway smaller than in known devices in which the lower end of the handle swings against the base plate. The reduction in construction height is already an advantage when it comprises, for example, only 5 mm; because by this reduction the half-hinges working together

In FIG. 8 is shown by way of example an arrangement by which the handle can be, in a simple manner, automatically fixed in its extreme positions. The rod 17 is provided above a nose or a heel 17 'for the passage of which a slot 20 is provided in the base plate 2. The slot 20 is covered behind the base plate 2, a spring band 21 fixed to the plate 2 and which acts on the nose of the rod 17.
By tilting the handle 15 the force of the spring 21 must be overcome, as can be seen in Figure 8, in which the handle is drawn in its original position.
Compared to 'Figure 7, it may also be mentioned that the small-tab 10' can be punched out of the tabs 10 of hinge 'which close, and then folded.
This small tab 10 'is riveted to the spindle 22 which, when the half-hinge is fixed, adapts by driving it into a hole in the wood of the leaf. The pin 22 has a transverse hole in which engages a safety screw 23 or the like. This new conformation of the leg guarantees a particularly solid base and suitable for the transmission of force, from the half-hinge into the wood of the leaf.
The lifting device according to FIGS. 9 to 14 consists of a sheath 25 fixed on the frame 1, which to engage in the frame 1 is provided with two pins 26 located one above the other. For the pins these are preferably hollow pins, each of which is formed of two shell-shaped halves 26 'which are made by stamping or other forming process out of the sheet.

The sheath 25 has, in the example drawn, a section made in the form of !!. with sharp edges in which the lifting member 27 is guided in,:. The, vertical direction.- In the example drawn, the lifting member consists of a simple 'lifting pin which has for guiding the The inside of the sheath 25 has a rectangular section and which passes over it into the cylindrical pin 27 '.
Sheath 25 is preferably closed above and below at 25 'and 25 ", to give additional good guidance to the lifting pin 27 protruding above and below the sheath.
The lifting pin 27 is articulated at its lower end by means of a pivot 28 at the lower end 29 'of a handle 29. As well as. As shown in figure 13, the lower end of the handle is made with a U-shaped section, so that the lower end of the lifting pin 27 is enveloped by the lower end of the handle 29 '.
Outside the sheath 25, that is to say on each side of the sheath, gussets 31 are suspended from the pin 30 passing through the sheath, and which extend substantially vertically towards the sheath. the bottom. The two gussets 31 are articulated at the end of the handle 29 'by means of the pivot 32 which is preferably made integrally with the end of the handle 29' as can be seen in FIG. 12. These two pivots 32 extend outwardly from the handle may be press-made or cast integrally with the handle. As shown in Figure 12, the pivots 32 can be riveted externally or also be provided with a safety in order to prevent the fall of the gussets 31.
It will be mentioned that it is naturally also
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
possible to have the two gussets inside the sheath 25, in which case the lifting pin 27 will be placed immediately between the two gussets.
In the example drawn, the two gussets 31 are interconnected by means of a transverse pin 33, which extends transversely through the sheath which is provided for this purpose with small slits 34 in the form of a visible arc. ble in FIG. 10. On the transverse pin engages the end of a branch spring 35 disposed on the articulation pivot 30 and the other end of which is fixed in one or the other way to the inside the sheath 25. The spring 35 acts permanently to press the two gussets 31 in the direction of the frame 1, which results in the handle 29 being held in its two visible end positions. in Figures 10 and 11.
One, lifted from the outside of the clapper. door or window is not. possible because the, three / pivots, of articulation 28, 30 and 32 are in a -plan. The pivots 32 may even have slightly exceeded the position in the aforementioned plane.
The door or window leaf 9 is connected to the hinge sleeve 11 in which the cylindrical pin
27 'of the lifting member or lifting pin 27, engages from below. For fixing this interlocking connection, a small screw 36 may be provided in the half-hinge 11 which engages in an annular groove 37 of the hinge pin. The half hinge is open above and below so that it can be used with either the right or left arrangement. a closing pin 38 can close above the hinge sleeve.
-To lift the window sash 9, the handle
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
29, which according to the drawing can be applied directly covers the sheath 25 and the hinge 11, is rotated or tilted from the position according to Figure 10 to that according to Figure 11, this movement taking place in a plane perpendicular to the frame. By this tilting of the handle, the link pivot 28 moves only in the vertical direction, while the hinge pins 32 perform a semi-circular movement. By this rotating movement of the pivots 32, the gussets 31 tilt a little away from the frame against the action of the spring 35, and then return to the position visible in FIG. 11.
By the pivoting of the handle, the lifting pin 27 and with it the half-hinge 11; / are raised as can be seen in figure 11. During the descent all the corresponding movements take place in the reverse order. The new lifting device is characterized by relatively few elements and simple construction, by which one obtains in particular a very low construction height in relation to the plane of the chassis. This production height can be further reduced by the fact that the lifting pin 27 can be provided laterally with a small recess.
39 for the spring 35 arranged on the articulation pivot 30.
By the external arrangement of the gussets 31 described above, the constructive arrangement of the lifting device is presented in a considerably simpler and more stable manner. The hanger gussets can be sized longer than in the first exemplary embodiment, so that the angle they move away from and back to the frame when the handle is actuated becomes smaller. Therefore, the component of
<Desc / Clms Page number 9>
active force perpendicular to the plane of the frame becomes smaller, which results in low friction between the lifting member 27 and its sheath 25.
In the first embodiment, there will be difficulties in dimensioning the articulation pivots located in the handle with sufficient strength. This is because the hinge pins have to be close enough to each other and therefore, due to the necessary holes in the handle, an unwanted weakening of the handle has to be tolerated. handle. This drawback does not exist in the second embodiment, given that only a hole in the handle is required for one of the two articulation pivots. The other articulation pivot is produced in the form of the pivot. 32 squeezed out of the handle and run in one piece with it. As a result, a reinforcement of the handle itself is obtained and in addition an increase in the pivot diameter is allowed.
