La présente invention a pour objet un système avertisseur, destiné à l'éducation des conducteurs, qui peut être monté sur tous véhicules auto- mobiles.
Le but du dispositif est d'avertir par un signal sonore approprié au moment du croisement le conducteur d'un autre véhicule et en même temps de remercier celui-ci après la manoeuvre, par un salut de courtoisie.
Pour atteindre ce résultat, le dispositif selon l'invention utilise la combinaison de deux éléments distincts:
1) un avertisseur sonore qui sera décrit plus loin
2) une figurine qui exécute après le signal sonore, un salut cour- tois; adressé au conducteur du véhicule croisé.
La combinaison précitée sera décrite en se référant aux figures du dessin annexé.
L'avertisseur sonore, premier élément de la combinaison selon 1' invention, se compose d'un sifflet .1 représenté en figure 3. Ledit sifflet 7 est monté au moyen d'une patte d'attache 8 sur l'un des boulons du moteur (voir figure 4) La partie cylindrique arrière 16 du sifflet est muni d' une busette 10 sur laquelle se monte un tube de dimensions convenables en matière plastique ou en toute autre appropriée; l'autre extrémité du tube est pourvue d'une seconde busette 11 que l'on insère dans une ouver- ture percée dans la conduite d'admission 17 du moteur (voir figure 4).
L'intérieur de la partie cylindrique 16 du sifflet comprend une soupape (non visible), dont le siège est solidaire d'une tige coulissante externe 12, rattachée à un câble 13; ce dernier est fixé sur la tige au moyen d'un serre-câble 14.
L'autre extrémité du câble 13 aboutit à un bouton 15 disposé sur le tableau de bord devant le conducteur.
Il suffit donc à ce dernier de tirer sur le bouton 15 pour dépla- cer la tige 12 de la soupape et soulever celle-ci de son siège, ce qui pro- voque par l'action du piston du cylindre, le signal sonore avertisseur du sifflet au moment du croisement' avec un autre véhicule.
La figurine saluante, second élément du dispositif objet de l'in- vention décrite ci-dessous, est actionnée par le conducteur immédiatement après le signal sonore.
Cette figurine, placée à l'avant du capot se compose par exemple d'un petit bonhomme coiffé d'un chapeau solidaire de la main d'un de ses bras. Ce bras, ainsi que la tête de la figurine peuvent tous deux pivoter, l'un de gauche à droite et l'autre d'arrière en avant ou inversement, res- pectivement autour des axes 19 et 20 (fige 6) par l'actionnement d'une cordelette ¯2 dont l'extrémité est reliée à un câble 3.
L'autre extrémité du câble 3 se rattache à un bouton 1 fixé au tableau de bord devant le conducteur qui n'a qu'à tirer celui-ci immédiate- ment après avoir actionné le sifflet au moyen du bouton 15, pour faire en sorte que le petit bonhomme enlève son chapeau et incline sa tête d'arrière en avant.
Afin de ne pas gêner le soulèvement du capot de la voiture et d'ob- tenir en même temps un allongement réduit du câble 3 au tableau de bord lors de sa manoeuvre par le bouton 4, on insère ledit câble dans un tube à spires jointives élastiques formant ressort muni d'un revêtement au choix et ayant une longueur appropriée.

Le bas de la figurine est composé de deux encoches de fixation 4 et d'une plaquette se glissant dans celles-ci.
Le montage de la figurine 1. sur le capot de la voiture peut s' opérer de deux manières que celui-ci est muni ou non d'une bande de garnitu- re extérieure.
Dans le cas où le capot est muni d'une garniture extérieure,la plaquette 5 sera placée sous celle-ci et il suffira de glisser les deux encoches 1 sur ladite plaquette pour obtenir la fixation de la figurine sur le capot.
Si le capot est démuni de garniture extérieure on fixe la plaquette 5 directement sur celui-ci au moyen d'un boulon et êcrou par l'ouverture 6 percée en son centre.
REVENDICATIONS.
1. Un système avertisseur pour croisement de véhicules automobiles, caractérisé par le fait qu'il se compose de la combinaison de deux éléments, dont le premier est constitué par un sifflet émettant un signal avertisseur sonore et le second par une figurine placée à l'avant du capot, destinée à saluer au passage le conducteur du véhicule croisé.
2. Système avertisseur selon la revendications 1, caractérisé par le fait que le sifflet avertisseur monté sur un des boulons du moteur par une patte d'attache, comprend un corps cylindrique sur lequel on dispose une busette reliée à un tube en matière plastique dont l'autre extrémité est pourvue d'une seconde busette fixée sur la canalisation d'admission du moteur, le dit corps cylindrique étant pourvu d'une soupape munie d'une tige extérieure coulissante qui est actionnée à partir du tableau de bord par un câble, de manière que ce dernier soulevant la soupape au-dessus de son siège, le sifflet émet un signal sonore, dû à l'action du moteur.

The present invention relates to a warning system, intended for the education of drivers, which can be mounted on all motor vehicles.
The purpose of the device is to warn the driver of another vehicle by an appropriate sound signal when crossing the road and at the same time to thank the latter after the maneuver, by a courtesy greeting.
To achieve this result, the device according to the invention uses the combination of two distinct elements:
1) an audible warning device which will be described later
2) a figurine which performs a short salute after the sound signal; addressed to the driver of the crossed vehicle.
The aforementioned combination will be described with reference to the figures of the accompanying drawing.
The horn, the first element of the combination according to one invention, consists of a whistle .1 shown in FIG. 3. Said whistle 7 is mounted by means of a fastening tab 8 on one of the bolts of the motor (see figure 4) The rear cylindrical part 16 of the whistle is provided with a nozzle 10 on which is mounted a tube of suitable dimensions made of plastic or any other suitable; the other end of the tube is provided with a second nozzle 11 which is inserted into an opening drilled in the intake duct 17 of the engine (see FIG. 4).
The interior of the cylindrical part 16 of the whistle comprises a valve (not visible), the seat of which is integral with an external sliding rod 12, attached to a cable 13; the latter is fixed to the rod by means of a cable clamp 14.
The other end of cable 13 leads to a button 15 arranged on the dashboard in front of the driver.
It is therefore sufficient for the latter to pull on the button 15 to move the rod 12 of the valve and lift the latter from its seat, which causes, by the action of the piston of the cylinder, the audible warning signal of the valve. whistle when crossing with another vehicle.
The waving figure, second element of the device which is the subject of the invention described below, is actuated by the driver immediately after the sound signal.
This figurine, placed at the front of the hood, consists for example of a little man wearing a hat attached to the hand of one of his arms. CLAIMS.
1. A warning system for crossing motor vehicles, characterized by the fact that it consists of the combination of two elements, the first of which is constituted by a whistle emitting a sound warning signal and the second by a figurine placed at the front of the bonnet, intended to greet the driver of the vehicle passing by.
2. Warning system according to claim 1, characterized in that the warning whistle mounted on one of the bolts of the engine by a fastening tab, comprises a cylindrical body on which there is a nozzle connected to a plastic tube of which the the other end is provided with a second nozzle fixed on the engine intake pipe, said cylindrical body being provided with a valve provided with a sliding outer rod which is actuated from the dashboard by a cable, so that the latter lifting the valve above its seat, the whistle emits an audible signal, due to the action of the engine.
