Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

   The present invention relates to a box used for packaging needles, in particular sewing machine needles.

   According to the invention, such a boot internally comprises a support element suitable for keeping the needles apart from one another and without their tip touching a wall of the boot.

   According to one embodiment, the aforesaid support element, which is preferably removable, comprises longitudinal housings intended to receive the needles and provided with transverse dimensions smaller than those of the heels of the needles, so that these heels cannot s 'introduce into these housings but rest on the inlet opening thereof, the length of said housings being sufficient to prevent the tip of the needles from coming into contact with the bottom of the box.

   According to a particular embodiment, the support element is constituted by a block of material having longitudinal grooves along its periphery and intended to be introduced into the box, so that the longitudinal housings for the needles are formed by said spokes. - nures and sides of the box.

   The box can be made at least partially of a transparent material, for example a plastic material.

   Following at least one of its walls, the box may have slides allowing the insertion of a label used to register the identity of the needle, the name of the customer, and / or any other technical formula or advertising.

   According to a particular embodiment, the box has three side walls substantially of the same length as the support element, so that the needle heels thus protrude from these three side walls at the same time as from the support element. support, the fourth side wall, preferably the rear wall of the box, being sufficiently longer than the others to arrive at least at the level of the free end of the needle heels, a cover being provided to close off completely opening of the box in this way.

   Other details and features of the invention will emerge from the description given below by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the accompanying drawings.

   Figure 1 is an elevational view of the box in the closed position.

   Figure 2 is an elevational view of the box in the open position.

   Figure 3 is a plan view of the closed box.

   Figure 4 is a side view of the open box.

   Figure 5 is an elevational view of the support member.

   Figure 6 is a plan view of the element of Figure 5.

   FIG. 7 is a sectional view taken along the plane VII-VII of FIG. 1.

   The box shown is of the rectangular type, for example made of transparent plastic.

   The box comprises a front wall 1, and two side walls 2 and 3 of the same height, while it has a longer rear wall 4.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   Inside the box, is slid a support element 5 having practically the same length as the walls 2, and 3. Crosswise (figure 6), this element is in the form of a block of material comprising longitudinal grooves. peripherals 6 so as to thus create housings for the needles 7 (FIG. 7). The transverse dimensions of these housings 6 will be smaller than the transverse dimensions of the heels 8 of the needles, so that these heels cannot enter these housings 6 but are on the other hand stopped at the entrance to the latter. , to protrude from the support element 5 as shown in Figures 2 and 4. In addition, the height of the support element 5 will be large enough to prevent the tip of the needles from touching the bottom 9 of the box. .

   The needles will therefore be suspended in a way by their heels without there being any risk of damage to the points.

   As shown in FIG. 7, the box may have, internally, projections 10 intended to form slides for a label 11, and this following one or more of the walls of the box. This or these label (s) could moreover be chemically treated in an appropriate manner to protect the needles against rust. Such labels can be used to serve to register the identity of the needles, possibly the name of the customer and / or any other technical or advertising formula.

   The rear wall 4 of the box will therefore be longer than the walls 1, 2 and 3 to reach at least the level of the free end of the pins 8 of the needles (FIG. 2). On this wall 4 will be pivotally mounted a cover 12 intended to completely close the opening of the box, both laterally and along the front face and the top thereof.

  This cover is more especially shown in Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4. It may itself bear inscriptions and be made of a material identical or different from that of the box itself. One could, for example, make it transparent, and the cover in opaque material.

   It goes without saying, moreover, that all combinations of matters of constitution, arrangement of labels or inscriptions, etc., are possible according to needs or wishes.

   It must also be understood that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described but that many variations are possible without departing from the scope of the present patent.
