Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

   The subject of the invention is an improved plinth for walls and other apartment walls and other premises of the type described in the main patent and which comprises a heating duct, consisting of a double wall, formed between two sheets, the rear one. adapted to be fixed to the wall or other wall and the other before, this double wall opening into the room to be heated, on the one hand, at its base by an air inlet to be heated and on the other hand, at its top , by an upper outlet opening for the air heated by its passage over a heating element arranged in said double wall where it is carried by bridges fixed to the rear sheet,
The plinth according to the invention is improved in particular with a view to facilitating its adaptation to the dimensions of the walls of the premises against which it is to be applied.

   It is essentially characterized in that the rear plate contributing to forming the double wall comprises a horizontal row of means for fixing support bridges for the heating element or elements, these bridges being removable. Thanks to the removability of the support bridges and the multiplicity of the attachment means, the plinth can be cut to the desired length, while retaining the means of fixing in the immediate vicinity of its end a bridge to support the heating element (s).

   In addition, you can place as many intermediate bridges as you want.
Furthermore, according to another characteristic, the removable front plate of the double wall is provided on its rear face and over the entire length with two continuous grooves for hooking onto two tabs of each support bridge.

   ; Thanks to this arrangement, whatever the position of the end support bridge, it is certain that this plate can be attached to it.

   Other characteristics will result from the description which follows.

   In the accompanying drawings, given only by way of example: FIG. 1 is a front view, partially cut away, of an improved plinth element according to the invention; Fig 2 is a transverse vertical section along line 2-2 of Figo 1; Figure 3 is a partial transverse section taken along line 3-3 of Figure 1; Figo 4 is a perspective view of one of the removable support bridges; fig. 5 is a partial perspective view of a variant in the mode of forming the hooking means of the bridges.

   According to the example of execution represented in FIGS. 1 to 4, the plinth, intended to be leaned against the internal face of the lower portion of a wall or partition A (Figo2), just above the surface of the floor or other floor B, comprises a back plate 101 in sheet metal with a width of about twenty centimeters, while its length, which determines that of the plinth element considered, may be of the order of one or more meters.

   This plate 101, intended to be pressed against the wall A, with the interposition of a layer C of an insulating material, its width being available.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 vertically, is bent at a right angle near one of its longitudinal fields, so as to form a lower fin 102 for resting on the floor B.

   Moreover, from its upper field it comprises; a narrow strip 103 for bearing against the wall A, this strip being offset rearwardly by an amount corresponding to the desired thickness for the insulating layer C; a horizontal portion 104, on which can optionally be arranged an auxiliary sheath, for example for electrical conductors or other pipes. [and a cylindrical curved portion 105 for connecting to the planar part and forming a deflector.

   Preferably, the rear space 106, formed by the portions 104 and 105 of the sheet is closed off by an auxiliary connecting plate 107, attached by welding or otherwise on the sheet 1010
This sheet 101 and the plate 107 are pierced with several series of holes allowing their fixing to the wall A, using screws 108 or spikes.

   Below the deflector 105, the flat part of the sheet 101 comprises a horizontal row of attachment means for removable support bridges 109.

   Each of these attachment means is itself constituted by a small bridge 110, obtained by a puncture of the sheet 101, and orientation such that each attachment bridge 110 is accessible on the front of the sheet from the top. and from below.

   Its removable support bridges 109 are all identical.

    One of them is shown in perspective in Fig. 40 Each of them comprises a flat central portion III, intended to be arranged perpendicular to the sheet 101. It is pierced with several vertical rows of holes 1120 This flat portion 111 is extended: on the one hand at the rear by two fixing lugs 114, bent at right angles to said portion 111 and themselves terminated by an end 115, bent at right angles and, therefore, parallel to that portion 111; and on the other hand, at the front, by two other legs 116 folded at right angles at 117 (FIG. 4); between these tabs the portion 111 is cut out at 118.

   Each removable support bridge 109 is applied against the rear plate 101 by its two rear legs 114 and in such a way that these legs overlap, top to bottom, one of the small fixing bridges 110 and the fixing of said support bridge 109. is provided by a removable locking blade 119, engaged under the small fixing bridge 110 and over said tabs 114.

   We see immediately that, because the small fixing bridges 110 are close to each other, it is always possible to find one near the end of the plinth element, even if we have to cut this to adapt it to a corner of a room, according to the dimensions of this room, and in this way it is always possible to fix a support bridge 109 in the immediate vicinity of each of the ends of the plinth section.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   On the front legs 116 of the support bridges 109 is fixed, by simple engagement from top to bottom, a front plate. @ 120, forming with the rear sheet 101 the double wall of the plinth.

   In order to allow easy and removable fixing of the front sheet 120 regardless of the position of the support bridges 109, this sheet 120 has over its entire length two grooves formed: one by an upper rim 121, intended to come to hang on the upper legs 116 of the bridges, and the other by an angled blade 122 (Figo2) attached to the rear face of the sheet and intended to come to hang on the lower legs 116 of the bridges .

   Sheet 120, which can be stiffened by stamped ribs
123, stops downwards at 124 at a certain distance above the upturned edge 102 of the rear sheet 101, to provide with the floor B a lower opening for entry, in the direction of arrow fl (Fig .2) air which is to be heated and which, inside the double wall, will lick one or more heating tubes 125, preferably with fins 126, suspended from the bridges 109 by rods 127, suitably bent and bent and engaged in the suitable holes 111 of the pontets o Hot air can exit the plinth according to arrow f2 (fig. 2), thanks to an outlet opening made between the upper edge of the sheet 120 and the deflector 105 .

   The air circulation and the direction in which it comes out of the plinth is adjustable, thanks to a shutter 1280 This shutter consists of a slightly curved and oscillating mounted sheet, so that it can be tilted between the full positions opening shown in solid lines in FIG. 2 and the total closed position 128a shown in phantom in this FIG. 20
This flap oscillates through two journals 129 and 130 in holes 129a (Figo 1) and 130a (Figo 1 and 4) of two fittings 131 and 132, reported, by bolts 133 and nuts or otherwise on both end bridges 109. (In fact, several intermediate bridges can be provided).

   The journal 129 is clamped between shutter 128 entries (Fig. 1 and 3) and a blade 134 attached behind the shutter against which it is held by the crimping on it of the two turned edges 125 and 136 of the shutter.

   As for the other journal 130, it is provided at the end of a rod 137 attached against the rear face of the shutter against which it maintains, by passing through it in its center, a toothed wheel 138. This tue partially protrudes into a window 139 of the shutter 128. The teeth of the wheel cooperate in la'portion forming a hook wheel facing the deflector 105 with a projection 140 for locking an elastic blade 141 forming an elastic retaining pawl; this blade is fixed by its end 142 returned at right angles to the fitting 132.

   On the other hand, the front portion of the wheel 138 forms an operating wheel.

   In fig 5 there is shown a small portion of the rear sheet 101a of a variant of the plinth element, in which the small bridges 111a for fixing the support bridges are formed in a blade 143 attached by welding or otherwise on plate 101a.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

   As we have seen, the various constituent elements of the plinth are independent of each other; they can therefore be stored3 and transported separately, their reunion by simple stapling taking place at the time of installation after possible adjustment of the length of the longitudinal elements by sawing; storage, transport, installation and adaptation of the plinth to the dimensions of the room to be fitted are therefore considerably simplified.

   Of course, the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments shown and described which have been chosen only by way of example.
