Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 6>

   As is known, the central remote control installations, also called control units, are used to send, from a control station, and through the electrical energy distribution network, control orders. maneuver towards all points? use of the network, either to modify the meter tariff, or to switch on or off user devices such as boilers, ovens, public lighting systems, etc., possibly also for controlling oil circuit breakers . As is known, for this purpose, low frequency pulses are applied to the network, in the control station, from a transmitter,

   the installations to be controlled being provided with receivers which act on commands determined in advance and carry out the

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 contact maneuvers planned. Among the various known centralized remote control systems, the most common systems are based on the pulse duration method. In this method, a start signal is assigned, on the time axis, a series of pulses. of orders. The latter are. generally generated by a transmitter consisting of a synchronous selector which debits, in a manner known per se, by means of a low-frequency transmitter device, on the energy transmission network to be controlled.

   The receivers generally consist of selectors rotating in synchronism with the frequency of the network and the pads of which are in agreement with the contacts of the synchronous transmitter. Figures 1 and 2 show pulse diagrams relating to the time interval process.

   Figure 1 shows for example - which is known per se - the start signal s, then ,. for example, a group a, b, c and d for orders of combinations of signals,. then, the series of. direct orders 1, 2, 3, 4,? ...., arranged in that it is agreed to call pairs of double commands E, A.

   The direct orders are thus called by the fact that they directly initiate the desired contact operations using the affected pads of the synchronous selector. However, and as we know, we can initiate a desired control operation by the indirect route, which consists in bringing together several order signals, that is, for example, and in accordance with Figure 1, using groups a, b, c and d.

   On the other hand, orders from the series of direct orders 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ... of a combination can be assigned to such a group. However, in this case, each receiving device must be equipped with a selection system

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 of groups. This assignment supposes a complication of the operation of the receiving device, without affecting in any way the principle of the series of direct orders. In the majority of cases, it is in the interest of avoiding this complication. For this reason, every effort is made to make the most of the straightforward nature of the direct order series.

   This faculty is mainly based on the fact that the series of direct orders can be constantly repeated in a manner that is free of ambiguity and without gaps, in particular when, as is known to be this series of direct orders is arranged in pairs forming double commands. This reproducibility, of simple nature, does not exist in the case of the selection of combinations or groups, since the entire group must be traversed, for each order, considering that a combination of determined pulse is assigned to each order.

   The ability to repeat orders, without a break in continuity, is only restored in the presence of the free series of direct orders or assigned to the group. Pulse diagram A in figure 2 shows a fragment of a repetition program of a series of direct commands arranged according to the principle of double commands. Pulse diagram B shows the corresponding fragment, where however the repetition signals of the double commands 8 and 9 have been removed.

   The modifications described above, or the like, made to the normal repetition of direct orders program make it possible to initiate specific special orders. Such special orders include, as can be seen from figure 2, the property, sometimes very important, which consists in, that a specific special order can be executed immediately during the course of an order program. normal.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

   On the basis of the foregoing, the present invention relates to a method for the remote control of electrical contact devices, by superimposition on the network, with the aid of centralized remote control installations, also called control units, which operate from 'after the principle of the synchronous selector, and where, therefore, takes place an emission of command pulses attached to a starting pulse as to their position as a function of time, this method being characterized by the use, at the point reception, of a device which cooperates with the normal repetition program of direct commands, in such a way that, upon arrival of the command pulses, a blocking of the actuation occurs. at least one auxiliary contact provided for special uses,

   this blocking with a view to initiating special orders, however being lifted when at least one of the successive pulses of the normal series of the order program is deleted.

   The method according to the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to FIG. 3 * Lorsde la. transmission of a series of normal orders, the starting pulse determines the starting of a synchronous motor S, in the manner known per se, by the entramise of an input circuit R and the contact r of that here, this motor being kept running, for a determined time, by the cam n.

   On the shaft of the synchronous motor S is wedged, as a clutch member, a KR ratchet wheel, which can influence, using a K pawl, a P cam mounted freely on the shaft. of the synchronous motor S, the arrangement being such that, when the latter cam rotates through a sufficient angle, it closes an auxiliary contact p. On receipt of command signals, the pawl K is caused to pivot, by the action of a pulse relay M,

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 so as to disengage from the ratchet, so that this ratchet can no longer influence the cam F.

   When, in the series of repeating signals, at least one of the successive repeating signals is suppressed, that is, in figure 2, the pulses 82 and 91, the rotation of the ratchet wheel in the direction indicated by the arrow has the result of turning the cam P., by means of the pawl K, until the auxiliary contact p closes.

   The shape of the teeth of the ratchet wheel KR and that of the pawl K are studied in such a way that, after having pivoted by a determined angle under the action of the spring Fe, the pawl K is released, to engage in the tooth, so that the cam P is again applied against the stop G. The closing of the auxiliary contact has had the effect of energizing the relay F, consisting of a switching relay for example, such that the object to be controlled E1 is switched on.

   By shaping the ratchet wheel KR to a suitable shape, for example by removing a few teeth, this wheel can be prevented from engaging the disc. P profile in some parts of the signal program. This is of interest when carrying out a part of the pulse program intended for group formation and where, therefore, one cannot perform free repetition, i.e., use the modifications in groups. sets of pure repetitions.

   The method according to the invention offers a particular advantage, inter alia, in the case where it is a question of being able to emit at any moment an immediate special order, that is to say, also during the transmission of. a normal order program. This is necessary for example in view of the defense

 <Desc / Clms Page number 6>

 anti-aircraft, where it must be possible to activate at any time, or, within a few seconds, an air warning device. As shown at E1 in Figure 3, a. such a warning device can be constituted by a special remote control receiver system, actuated using other input command signals of the program with normal repetition.

   Since it is advantageous to be able to block at certain times the transmission of a special order according to the method forming the subject of the present invention, it is possible to use a second reception device Ek, also represented in FIG. 3 and constituted for example by a group receiver, the latter device only allowing the operation of the circuit of the auxiliary contact p after the closing of a contact k.
