Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 6>

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

  . The present invention relates to a frame with "document receptacles in the form of folders, arranged by rotation around a column, receptacles of which the backs form a substantially cylindrical surface. With these known frames, use is made as document receptacles of filing cabinets. letters with indications on the back, binders which are placed vertically on circular support shelves arranged at a distance one above the other, the frame constituting a rotating unit, all this in order to achieve a larger storage capacity, a reduction in size and cost price.However, when the frame is rotating, the filing cabinets are subjected to significant forces also directed transversely to the circular shelves.

   There is therefore the risk that in the event of gaps, for example due to removed binders, the binders are overturned under the action of the centrifugal force due to the rotation, and are even carried outwards. by intense shocks. For this reason the clear and neat arrangement of the filing cabinets, which one tries to achieve, cannot be maintained with the known rotary frames.

   The object of the present invention is to improve the known frames in such a way that the classification added for the binders remains, whatever the instructions for use of the apparatus and its degree of filling. According to the invention, this object is obtained by the fact that the document containers are suspended by their edges lying above the reference markings and perpendicular to the backs.

   It is true that the suspension of document containers is known. In the known devices for suspended filing, the backs of the shirts are however suspended horizontally or obliquely with respect to the floor, and form a plane. In the event of horizontal suspension, the shirts

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 are only accessible from above, so that this mode of suspension cannot be considered at first glance for revolving frames, with filing cabinets arranged one above the other.

   In horizontal, vertical or oblique suspension systems with respect to the floor, the filing cabinets, folders or the like are arranged one beside the other, in the manner of a shelving unit. In these shelves, cabinets or the like, the various document containers cannot slide indefinitely on suspension rods, their movement being limited by the fixing walls of the rods, this also being the case for the rotary frame known for standing files. . In fact, the space located above the circular shelves is subdivided into a certain number of sectors by vertical supports, sectors in which the files can only be moved between small limits.

   Also, when hanging files vertically, a lot of space is left unused on the wall side, since even when full, the files have a wider back than their opposite open side.

   It is also already known to provide rotating files around a column, and to have the files radially suspended from a circular suspension device.

  However, in such devices the plugs are clamped in the direction of the column, while they open outwards. Measures have already been adopted to avoid or hide this separation, by arranging the sheets parallel to each other and no longer radially, and by filling the interstices, for example at six points on the periphery, with wedges with three edges.

   However, the periphery of the circular suspension devices can therefore only be used on a half in rion.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 , - towards the outside of the plugs is too small, jumpers or other protruding elements are needed to note the necessary indications, these elements however partially hiding each other, and can only be examined from the side, so that the user of this device is forced to constantly perform disagreeable head movements.

   The frame according to the invention on the other hand, just like the rotary frame known for vertical filing cabinets, takes into account from all points of view the nature of letter filing cabinets, namely a wide spine and lids approaching like a corner of each other. If, for example, one or the other binder contains a larger quantity of documents, a mutual compensation occurs automatically. All of the spines form a uniform cylindrical surface in known manner, so that the inscriptions and markings affixed to the spine can be examined easily without complications. As the binders are suspended from the top edges, arranged perpendicular to the back, the available space is used adequately, marna in the vertical direction, when the binders are located one above the other.

   The suspension also eliminates the side support devices intended to prevent the overturning of the filing cabinets, the width of the filing cabinets and tangential centrifugal forces having no influence.

   According to another characteristic of the invention, the files or the like are suspended from the column by the fact that at least one suspension disc mounted by rotation has, for the attachment of the files, a profiled hook-shaped suspension edge. Such a suspension disc is not only very robust, but also allows the endless sliding of filing cabinets along its suspension edge.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

  , The hooking edges of each binder have for this purpose a fitting with a recess adapted to the edge of the profile suspension of the disc.

   According to yet another characteristic of the frame according to the invention, each suspension disc is disposed coaxially at one end of a hollow shaft, which has a length a little greater than that of the backs of the binders, and which is mounted by the intermediate roller bearings interchangeably on the column in such a way that on a column it is possible to mount one above the other several suspension discs with hollow shafts, separated from each other by spacers.

   In addition, when the binders have thin backs, there are provided, on the periphery of a suspension disc, several spacing boots, which may possibly protrude somewhat outwardly and on the backs of which are affixed indications of landmark, which unite the filing cabinets according to the objects.

   The drawing illustrates two embodiments of the object of the invention.

   Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a frame with a single rotating suspension disc with a profiled suspension edge for hanging files.

   Fig 2 is a second embodiment with three frames according to claim 1 superimposed, separately rotatable, Fig, 3 is a radial flow through the profiled edge of a suspension disc to which a binder is attached.

   Fig. is a plan view of the arrangement according to Figs, 1 or 2, the files being suspended,

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

Fig. 5 is a view of the involute of the cylinder formed by the backs of the binders, with the reference markings.

   In the embodiment according to FIG. 1 a column 1 is provided on a base plate, around which a suspension device can rotate by means of roller bearings 2. The latter is formed by a circular suspension disc 3, the outer edge of which 4 has a hook-shaped profile for the suspension of filing cabinets and to which a hollow shaft 5 is coaxially attached. The latter, cooperating with the bearings 2, serves guiding the device 3 on the column 1. The suspension profile preferably has the shape of an L with an oblique free bar directed upwards, so that a catching edge raised a little upwards in funnel shape is obtained (see Fig. 3). Such a profile is very robust and guarantees a secure hanging of the filing cabinets.

  By superimposing several devices according to FIG. 1 and using spacers, as shown in FIG. 2, with the use of a column of suitable length, the capacity of the rack can be adapted to the needs.

   The binders are gathered according to categories. For this purpose, especially when the binders are thin, provision can be made for wedge-shaped spacing boxes 6 (see FIG. 4) which are interposed between the different categories. These distance boxes carry the necessary reference markings on their backs, which easily indicate where and in which folder the document sought is located. This arrangement of the reference indications between the binders gathered by categories is illustrated by the developed cylindrical surface shown in Fig. 5, which is

 <Desc / Clms Page number 6>

 formed by the backs of binders and distance boots. The classification can be either alphabetical, decimal or other.
