Suivant d'autres caractéristiques de l'invention : - un interrupteur rotatif, contrôlé par la roue de développement, pro- voque la fermeture d'un circuit d'alimentation d'un électro-aimant actionnant un pas à pas faisant tourner une molette gravée indiquant le poids des objets pesés en centaines de kilogrammes et milliers de kilogrammes; - des relais permettant de fermer des circuits divers assurant le fonctionnement du pas à pas, l'alignement des molettes gravées par l'intermédiai- re d'un rateau commandé par un électro-aimant, l'impression du poids pesé par la bascule au moyen d'un marteau frappeur dont le mouvement est assuré par un électro-aimant, la commande de l'embrayage pour la remontée des différents orga- nes de la bascule et la mise sous tension du moteur de remontage ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
120, conducteurs 121, 122, .,-interrupteur 123, conducteur 124, plot 125, contact 94a, conducteur 95, plot 69b, contact 69, conducteurs 73, 74, plot 68b, contact 68a, masse.
31, conducteur 129, interrupteur 127, conducteur 122, interrupteur 123, conduc- teur 124, plot 125, contact 94a, conducteur 959 plot 69b, contact 69, conducteurs
73, 74, plot 68b, contact 68a, masse.
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Various other characteristics of the invention will moreover emerge from the detailed description which follows.
One embodiment of the object of the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawings.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the Roman scale provided with the printing device of the weights weighed by the scale.
Fig. 2 is a diagram illustrating the operation of the printing device mounted on the Roman rocker.
The Roman rocker comprises a frame, not shown, on which is fixed a knife holder 1. A knife 2 is fixed by a trigger guard on the flail 3 and rests by its lower edge on the knife holder 1. The flail 3 is located thus be suspended and can easily pivot around the knife holder 1. A knife 4, fixed to the end 5 of the beam 3, is connected by a linkage, not shown, to the underside of the scale plate.
6 designates the counterweight of the Roman rocker fixed on an extension 7, at the end 5 of the beam 3. The latter has, under its lower face, a rack 8 cooperating with a pinion 9 of a spring barrel mounted in a slider weight 10 rolling, by means of rollers 11, 12, on the upper face of the beam 3. A metal tape 13 connects the slider weight 10 to a development wheel 14 mounted on a shaft 15 fixed to the frame. the rocker.
The development wheel 14 carries, on one of its sides, a lug cooperating with a contactor device 16 called in the following "end-of-travel contact".
The object of this device is to have certain electrical functions controlled by the development wheel 14 when the tape 13 is wound on it and so that the slider weight 10 is placed at the left end of the rack 8 (fig. 1). . A finger 17 is fixed to the side of the development wheel which comprises, over part of its periphery, a toothing cooperating with a pinion 18 mounted on a shaft 19 carried by the frame of the lever. A pinion 20 fixed on the shaft 19 meshes, on the one hand, with a pinion 21 called mobile units and,

on the other hand, with a pinion 22 fixed to the end of a shaft 23 resting in bearings integral with the frame of the lever.
A roller 24 is mounted on the shaft 23 and can cooperate with a conical roller 25 mounted idle at the end of a sliding pin 26 resting in holes drilled in a U-shaped part 27 integral with the frame of the lever. The pin 26 carries a finger 28 forming a stop for a spring 29 interposed between this finger and one of the branches of the U-shaped part 27, so that the pin 26 is normally pushed back in the direction of the arrow FI (fig. 1).
The end 26a pores against a bell return 30 also mounted on the frame of the rocker and one of the branches 30a of which serves as a movable armature for an electromagnet 31. A motor 32 fixed to the lever. The rocker frame drives, via its shaft 33, a roller 34 which can cooperate with the conical roller 25.
The pinion 21, said to be mobile units, is mounted at the end of a shaft 35 resting in bearings secured to the rocker. This shaft carries, in addition to the mobile units 21, a disc 36 on which is fixed a sector 37 made of material which is a good conductor of electric current. A printing wheel 38, intended to print the weight of the objects weighed by the scale in kilograms and tens of kilograms, is mounted on the shaft 35 as well as a pinion 39. A second shaft 40, placed in the extension of the 'shaft 35, carries a pinion 41 and a printing wheel 42 intended to print the weight of the objects weighed by the scale in hundreds of kilograms and thousands of kilograms. Finally, the shaft 40 also carries a cam 43, the role of which will be explained below.
A lever 44, articulated on an axis 45 fixed on the frame of the rocker, carries at one of its ends a finger 46, while its other end serves as a movable armature for an electromagnet 47. A spring 48 tends to urge finger 46 upwards which, when lowered, cooperates with pinion 39 which serves as a liner for printing wheel 38. A hitting hammer 49 is mounted under the printing wheels. 38, 42. This striking hammer is fixed to the end of a lever 50 articulated on a pin 51 fixed on a support 52 held on the frame of the rocker.
The end 50a of the lever 50 serves as a movable armature for an electromagnet 53.
54 denotes a return spring tending to lower the striking hammer 49, so that the rotational movement of the printing wheels 38, 42 is not impeded. Between this hitting hammer 49 and the printing wheels 38, 42 are interposed, on the one hand, an ink ribbon and, on the other hand, the sheet of paper on which the weights of the objects weighed by the scale are printed. .
An electromagnet 55 calls for a movable armature 56 articulated on an axis 57. The armature 56 carries at its end an arm 58 terminated by a finger-59 intended to cooperate with the pinion 41.
Two contact strips 60, 61 are fixed to the side of the disc 36 and their ends 60a, 61a constantly rub against this disc or, depending on the position of the latter) against the conductive sector 37.
When the scale is at rest, the slider weight 10 is placed at the left end of the rack 8. The flail is raised in the direction of arrow F2 (FIG. 1). The tape 13 is wound on the developing wheel 14 which is blocked by the contactor device 16 (fig. 2). The engraved wheels 38, 42 are in the rest position, that is to say in front of zero; the conical roller is released from the rollers 24, 34; the motor 32 is not powered; the scale plate is empty.
When you want to weigh a load, it is placed on the scale plate and the operator presses button 62 (fig. 2). This maneuver has the effect of closing the switch 63, which causes the energization of an electromagnet 64 whose movable armature 65 unlocks, with the aid of its extension 66, the contactor device. 16.
The power supply circuit of the electromagnet 64 is as follows:
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
from the power source, current flows through the magnet coil
EMI3.1
4; p.é 'parl'.ri'r; .tpte. .e'c ôii..r 'r ,:' ir-t, i; eur, E8tdOntJe contact $, !!!: .. 'Ss1; 'connected to the ground. At the same time, the pivoting of the movable armature 65 has the effect of bringing the contact 69 onto a pad 69a and of closing the supply circuit of a delayed relay 70.
As soon as the trigger 16 is armed, the mechanism of the rocker is free and the weight-slider 10 moves along the beam 3 rotating the development wheel 14, through the flexible strip 13. The rotation of the developing wheel 14 also causes, by means of the finger 17, the closing of a switch 71 constituted by the contact 68a and the pad 68b.
The delayed relay 70 is supplied as follows from the power source, the current passes through the relay 70, passes through the conductor 72, the switch 69, 69a, the conductors 73, 74, arrives at the pad 68b on which rests the contact 68a grounded. The energization of the relay 70 causes the closing of the switch 75 and the capacitors 76 charge.
The energization of the relay 70 causes the energization of a relay 77 controlling the operation of the electromagnet 55. Indeed, from the supply 78 of the relay 77, the current passes through the conductor 79, the contact 61, the conductive sector 37 when the latter rubs against the contacts 60, 61, the contact 60, the conductor 80, the pad 81, the contact 82, the conductors 83, 84, 74, $. pad 68b, contact 68a and arrives at ground.
The relay 77 will therefore operate on each revolution of the disc 36 and the excitation of this relay causes the closing of a supply circuit for the electromagnet 55 which, by attracting its armature 56, 58, causes the finger 59 to move. ; the latter, by falling when the supply circuit of the electromagnet 55 is opened, causes the pinion 41 to advance by one tooth, driving the engraved wheel 42. Thus a reduction is obtained making it possible to print the hundreds of kilograms and the thousands of kilograms weighed by the scale.
The supply circuit of the electromagnet 55 is as follows: the current leaving the source 85 passes through the coil of the electromagnet 55 then, through the conductor 86 arrives at the pad 87, at the contact 88 which rests on pad 87 owing to the fact that relay 77 is energized then, through conductor 89, arrives at conductor 84 and thus, to the ground connected to contact 68a. These various operations continue until the moment when, the beam being in equilibrium under the effect of the slider weight 10, the trigger 16 drops back and thereby opens the switch formed by the stud 69a and the contact 69. The latter rests immediately against the stud 69b.
The opening of this switch causes the opening of the supply circuit of the relay 70, but the latter remains stuck for a certain time since its drop-out is delayed by the capacitors 76.
Because the contact 69 now rests on the pad 69b, the electromagnet 47 is energized and thus it is possible to correctly align, by means of the finger 46, the engraved wheel 38. The power supply circuit of the electromagnet 47 is as follows: starting from the current source 47a, the circuit is closed by the conductors 90, 91, the switch 92, the conductor 93, the switch 94, the conductor 95, pad 69b, contact 69, conductors 73, 74, pad 68b, contact 68a, ground.
As soon as the electromagnet 47 called its movable armature 44, the latter closed a circuit for supplying the electromagnet 53, due to the fact that the contact 96 came to rest on the pad 97. L ' electromagnet 53 controlling the printer 49 is energized by the following yes: current source 98, coil of electromagnet 53, conductors 99, 100, pad 97, contact 96, conductor 101, contact 102, pad 103, conductor 104, pin 105, contact 106 (this contact rests on pin 105 because the delayed relay 70 has now fallen), conductors 107, 93, switch 94, conductor 95, pin 69b, contact 69, conductors 73, 74, pad 68b, contact 68a, ground.
The printer's hammer 49 strikes the underside of the engraved wheels 38, 42 and prints the
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
weight weighed by the scale. But the movement of the movable armature 50a of this printer has the effect of causing the pivoting of a contact 108 coming to rest on a pad 109, which causes the energization of a delayed relay 110, the circuit of which is power supply is as follows: battery 111, relay 110, resistor 112, conductor 113, pad 109, contact 108, conductors 114, 101, switch 102, 103, conductor 104, pin 105, contact 106, conductors 107, 93 , switch 94, conductor 95, pad 69, contact 69, conductors 73, 74, pad 68b, contact 68a, ground.
Switching on the relay 110 causes the closure of its holding air due to the fact that the contact 92a comes to rest on the pad 92b and that thus the current first passes through the relay 110, the resistor 112 and returns. via conductor 115 to pad 92b and, via contact 92a, arrives at conductor 93, bringing it back to the ground placed behind contact 68a. The opening of the switch 92 causes the power supply circuit of the electromagnet 47 of the aligner to drop. Its movable armature 44 returns to its rest position and at the same time opens the switch 96, 97. Thus, the supply circuit of the electromagnet 53 of the printer is open, the striking hammer.
49 returns to its rest position under the action of spring 54.
Immediately, the contact ': 108 leaves the pin 109 and comes to rest on the pin 116. The closing of the switch 108, 116 causes the energization of the relay 77 by the following circuit: source 78, relay 77, switch 117, conductor 118, switch 108, 116, conductors 114, 101, switch 102, 103, conductor 104, switch 105, 106, conductors 107, 93, switch 94, conductor 95, switch 69, 69b, conductors 73, 74, switch 68a, 68b, mass.
Switching on the relay 77 has the effect of closing a supply circuit for the electromagnet 55 whose supply circuit is as follows: source 85, coil of electromagnet 55, conductor 86, switch
87, 88, conductors 89, 84, 74, switch 68a, 68b, ground.
The excitation of the electromagnet 55 causes a call from its movable armature 56, the pivoting of which opens the switch 102, 103. Immediately, the relay 77 drops out and at the same time cuts off the power supply to the electromagnet. -magnet
55. The movable armature of the latter falls by having rotated the pinion 41 and at the same time, the engraved wheel 42. The fall of the movable armature 56 closes the switch 102, 103 which sets energizing relay 77. The same operations as previously described take place until end 43a of cam 43 opens switch 94. At this moment, the engraved dial
42 has returned to zero. Switch 94 also opens the power supply circuit of relay 110 which drops out. The power supply to relay 77 is permanently cut off since switch 117 is open.
The pivoting of the contact 94a causes the closing of a circuit for a relay 119 having two functions: a) energizing the motor 32, b) energizing the electromagnet 31 controlling the clutch of the roller 25.
The power supply circuit for relay 119 is as follows: battery
120, conductors 121, 122,., - switch 123, conductor 124, pad 125, contact 94a, conductor 95, pad 69b, contact 69, conductors 73, 74, pad 68b, contact 68a, ground. The energization of relay 119 causes the switch to close.
126 controlling the power supply circuit of the motor 32. Likewise, the relay 119 closes the switch 127 controlling the power supply to the electromagnet 31. The circuit of the latter is as follows: battery 128, coil of the coil. electro magnet
31, conductor 129, switch 127, conductor 122, switch 123, conductor 124, pin 125, contact 94a, conductor 959 pin 69b, contact 69, conductors
73, 74, pad 68b, contact 68a, ground.
Because the roller 34 drives the roller 25 bearing on the roller 24, the motor 32 returns the seesaw mechanism and the slider weight 10 to their
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
point of rest. The return movement of the components to their starting point is transmitted, from the roller 24, by the following gear train ::. Pinions 22, 20, 18, development wheel 14. The pinion 21 being driven by the pinion 20, the engraved dial 38 is reset to zero. When the developing wheel 14 reaches the end of winding, it actuates, by its finger 17, the switch formed by the elements 68b, 68a. Immediately, the circuit of the relay 119 is opened and the latter, by falling, cuts off the power supply to the motor 32 and to the electromagnet 31 actuating the clutch of the roller 25.
All the elements of the rocker have returned to the rest position.
A new scale can be carried out by the rocker.
In the foregoing, the scale described only allows the indication of the weight weighed by means of the printer consisting of the engraved knurls 38, 42, but it is also possible, by a transmission not shown and actuated from the shafts 35, 40, obtain the visual indication of the weighed weight, by the intermediary of needles moving in front of one or more graduated dials.
If the operator wishes to keep the result of the weighing indicated by the dial hands in front of him, in order to be able to compare this indication with the weight printed by the engraved knobs, all he has to do is, before triggering a weighing, to engage button 130 so that relay 119 is not energized and the mechanism remains immobilized before any reset.
This last operation is carried out when the operator pulls back the button 130 causing the closing of the switch 123. As soon as the latter is closed, the relay 119 is energized and causes the power supply to the switch. motor 32 and the electromagnet 31 controlling the clutch of the roller 25.
Various modifications can moreover be made to the exemplary embodiment, shown and described in detail without departing from the scope of the invention.
