<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

. TAXATION DEVICE FOR A LUMINAIRE ROOF TO A PROFILE METAL SUPPORT.
It is already known to fix a luminaire roof to a profiled shelf support. This fixa-
EMI1.1
tion is generally done by means of a bu 3ure provided at the rear of the roof and in which the profiled metal support is fixed by tightening screws.
These known fixing devices have proved insufficient for outdoor luminaires exposed to large-scale storms, noted in the case where the roofs were made of light alloy.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The aim of the invention is to improve the strength of the attachment of the roof to the profiled metal support. The invention is characterized in that the end of the profiled metal support, introduced through the nozzle to the interior of the roof, is fixed to the latter using a half-yoke accessible to through the opening normally covered by the globe of the luminaire, the profiled metal support being additionally fixed in the nozzle using a clamping screw.
The invention is explained below with respect to an example of an embodiment shown in the accompanying drawing. In this drawing, FIG. 1 represents a view in longitudinal section of the rear part of a luminaire and FIG. 2 a view in transverse section of this same part along an X-X plane. A light alloy (aluminum) luminaire roof 1 comprises a nozzle 2. A profiled metal support, in this case a steel tube 3 is introduced through the nozzleS. The end of the support 3 is fixed to the roof 1 using a half-yoke 4 accessible through the opening 5 normally covered by a globe, not shown. The half-yoke 4 is screwed into two threads, each cut in a steel sleeve 6 coated in the light alloy of the roof 1.
Instead of providing two sockets 6, it is also possible to provide only one steel part comprising

the two threads, or to provide a way of fixing the yoke requiring only one screw.
The support 3 is also fixed in the nozzle 2 using a clamping via 7. In order not to have to cut threads in the light alloy, the nozzle comprises a suitable housing, in this case consisting of two ribs 8, between which is captive a nut 9. In order to prevent the screw 7 from loosening, the nut 9 is a lock nut known per se, for example a nut operating inside a ring made of a material synthetic plastic.
