<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
facilement.
La fig. 1 montre une vue, partiellement en coupe, d'une clenche comportant deux poignées, vues perpendiculairement au bord de la porte et parallèlement à la surface de la porte ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
fig. 4.
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

demi-tigen to serve as support surfaces at the end of the separation.
We know olenohea for scope of this kind, They do not always allow, however, an irrefutable assembly in the, lock nut through which the square rod passes, because the latter must at least have a certain clearance to be able to be introduced into the lock nuts. When the spacing via is broken, the separation of the two parts of the rod is only possible until the moment when the rod is firmly seated against the walls of the square hole provided in the removable handles.
In general, this slight éoartemert does not quffit to realize? a secure seat in the nut of sorride.
The object of the invention is, therefore, to constitute a latch for doors of the type cited $ so that the rod of the latch also has a solid Maies in the lock nut. According to the invention, this is achieved by the fact that the half-rods are fixed away from one another in the non-removable handle, that they are preferably fixed thereto by casting, and that before tightening the spacer screw, the rod enters with play in the direction of the subsequent spacer thrust.
In a latch for doors thus constituted, the rod on which the removable handle has been slid, can be moved aside to such an extent that the distance between oele-oi still has sufficient magnitude, even over the extent of the lock nut. This is achieved by the fact that, due to the play provided in accordance with the present invention, the hole in the handle does not prevent a greater separation. In addition, the fact that the two half-rods are held in the other
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
latch handle away from each other helps create a firm footing.
By making the two half-rods, which can be compressed while overcoming their elasticity, yawn between them, a certain preliminary tension can be obtained under which the square rod can slip without play in the lock nut.
You can make the two half-stems yawn in different ways. In a preferred embodiment, there is placed between the two half-rods, over the extent of their seat in the non-removable handle, a spacer, for example a sheet. By using such a spacer, the fixing by casting of the two half-rods away from each other is very easily possible, without having to take special measures on the rods. However, it is also possible to granulate the half-rods, or to groove them, at least over the extent of their seat in the non-removable handle. If we proceed in this way, we can do without an interlayer.
Regarding the order of magnitude of the required clearance, let us quote the following example. For a total cross section of the square rod of 8 x 8 mm, the cross section of the hole in the removable handle will usefully be 8 x about 8.5 mm, the dimension of about 8.5 mm being taken in the direction in which the two half-rods of the latch move apart when the distance screw is tightened.
According to another advantageous development of the invention, the spacer screw is an internal hexagon screw.
Thanks to such a screw with an internal hexagon, one can exert much more energetic efforts than in the case of a slotted screw in which, as we know, the screwdriver slips.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
easily. On the other hand, a curved manohe wrench that fits into an internal hexagon screw has a lever arm significantly larger than a screwdriver.
The drawing represents an exemplary embodiment of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a view, partially in section, of a latch having two handles, seen perpendicular to the edge of the door and parallel to the surface of the door;
Fig. 2 is a top view, the door being indicated in mixed milking
Fig. 3 is a section taken along line 111-111 of FIG. 1 and
Fig. 4 is a cup corresponding to FIG. 3, however, the distance screw is loose.
The door latch essentially comprises the handles 1 and 2, as well as the latch rod, indicated as a whole by the mark 3. The latch rod passes through the lock nut 4 of a door lock not shown in the drawing. . It is obvious that by activating the latches 1 and 2, the lock nuts are turned, because the latch rod is held in handles 1 and 2, as also in the lock nut A, without being able to turn there. .
The cross section of the latch rod is apparent from the indications in fig. and 4. These figures show that the latch rod consists of two solid rectangular profiles 5 of the same shape. These rectangular profiles 5 are permanently fixed by casting in the handle 1. To achieve a spacing between the rectangular profiles 5,
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
with a view to forming a slot 6, an insert 70 is introduced between these rectangular sections 5, which insert extends approximately to the end of the neck 8 of the handle 1.
For fixing the removable handle 2, a via 7 with internal hexagon is used which is screwed into a threaded hole 80 provided in the handle 2. The via? comprises a conical tip 9 whose taper has an angle of about 90. In the tight state of the handle 2, this conical tip engages in a wedge-shaped groove 10, one of the wedge-shaped surfaces of which is arranged on one half-rods 5, the other wedge-shaped surface being arranged on the other half-rod 5. As shown in particular in FIG. 2, the depth of the groove increases from its end directed towards the end of the shank, towards the middle of the shank, which Fig. 1 also shows with regard to the increase in the width of the groove.
The angle of the wedge-shaped groove and that of the ass of the inner hexagon screw 7 are the same.
In the plan view of FIG. 2, the door is indicated in phantom lines by the reference 11. It appears from fig. 2 that the axis 12 of the push screw 7 is perpendicular to the edge 13 of the door, that is to say that it occupies a horizontal position in space.
The recess 17 of the handle 2 has a rectangular section, the dimension a (see fig. 4) being slightly smaller than the dimension b. For example, the dimension a may be 8 mm and the dimension b about 8.5 mm, if the cross section of the rod 3 is 8 x 8 mm, For the sake of clarity, the reports have therefore been exaggerated in the
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
fig. 4. In reality, the clearance is not as big as in fig. 4.
The latch for doors in accordance with the invention is assembled as follows. The latch rod 3 is first fixed in the latch handle 1, preferably by casting. Thanks to the spacer 70, it is thus realized that the two half-rod $ 5 have between them a spacing 6 which is equal to the thickness of the spacer 7U. During assembly on the door, the oarrée rod 3 is slid through the lock nut 4, until the stop shoulder 14 of the handle rests against the door, respectively against a rosette.
The slot 6 can be chosen such that the half-rods 5 yawn between them to a degree such that a slight compression of the half-rods 5 is sufficient to allow introduction into the lock nut. The rod having been introduced into the lock nut, the removable handle 2 is slid there until its stop shoulder 14 'comes to rest against the rosette of the door latch. Then, the spacer screw 7 is tightened using an internal hexagon tool, which can easily be put in place due to the particular position of the screw 7. Therefore, the conical point 9 causes the spacing of the two halves 5 of the latch rod 3 so that its surfaces 15 are pressed against the walls 16 of the recess 17 of the handle.
At the same time, the surfaces 15 of the rod are pressed against the surfaces 18 of the keyhole, aorta hole, thus obtaining a good fixing of the handle on the rod, as also a good fixing of the rod. in the lock nut. It is possible to separate the half-rods by pressure to a sufficient degree, by the fact
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
that dimension b (see fig. 4), is slightly larger than the thickness of the square rod. Irrespective of the thickness of the door, the pressure screw always penetrates into the wedge-shaped groove over the extent of the growing part outwards, so that a good resistance to the side pull is also achieved.
Because the inner hexagon screw wrenches are bent at a right angle and the ole cannot slip on the screw, the inner hexagon screw can be tightened very forcefully, so that the screw cannot not loosen and that as a general rule imperfect separation of the half-rods by pressure will not occur.
