     '''PROCEDE DE FABRICATION DE CUIR POUVANT ETRE COLLE DIRECTEMENT'SUR LE'CORROYAGE ET'NOUVEAU PRODUIT AZNSI ' La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication de cuir pouvant être collé directement sur le corroyage et au nouveau cuir'ainsi obtenu.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

   EXEMPLE
Solution   1 100   cm3 d'acétate d'éthyle

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

     La présente invention n'est pas limitée aux exemples de réalisation qui viennent d'être décrits, elle est au contraire susceptible de variantes et de modifi- cations qui apparaîtront à l'homme de l'art.

     '' 'LEATHER MANUFACTURING PROCESS THAT CAN BE GLUED DIRECTLY ON THE' CORROYING AND 'NEW AZNSI PRODUCT' The present invention relates to a leather manufacturing process that can be glued directly to the wrought iron and to the new leather thus obtained.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   In the manufacture of shoes, the top grain layer (upper leather) must be scraped to achieve good bondability on the nip weft to the fibers of the leather. Immediately afterwards, you can coat with glue and glue. The extra work from scratching and the defects that occur make it really desirable to be able to stick directly to the leather.

   Hitherto, similar leathers were known, to which vulcanization could be applied directly, but which generally exhibit insufficient resistance values. These cultures are not suitable for direct bonding.

   The main difficulty in making leather '. sticking directly is that the wrought and the underlying grain layer do not have sufficient adhesion to the leather. The values found for adhesion are between 0.9 and 1.2 kg / cm of belt width.

   The object of the present invention is to manufacture leather which can be glued directly. This object is achieved by applying directly to the grain layer of the leather, as a preliminary primer, a solution mixture of phenbl-formaldehyde resin and at least one polyester modified with isocyanate groups. with another isocyanate, or a solution of a phenol-formaldehyde resin alone, and then a dispersion of a copolymerizate as a back bottom layer; after which, the covering primer is placed in a known manner.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   To obtain a leather which can be glued directly, one must have a combined primer base - that is to say a preliminary primer coat with an isocyanate, a polyester and a phenolic resin, or a phenolic resin alone, because in most cases too strong a hardening of the grain layer would be obtained by the incorporation of the isocyanate-polyester mixture. After this preliminary basecoat, there must be a subsequent basecoat with a butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer to ensure a perfect bond of the grain layer with a wrinkle to be disposed normally.

   Therefore, the process essentially depends on this in that after the pre-primer coat, the posterior primer coat is flawless to make the intermediate layer between the fixed granulation and the wrought.

   For the reasons indicated, the prelayer of the base of the leather can be of polyester-isocyanate in connection with the phenol-formaldehyde resin or only with such a resin.

   As a means to better fix the granulation, a polyester modified with polyisocyanate groups is used in an ethyl acetate solution with the addition of polyisocyanate; therefore, and this is essential, a further phenol-formaldehyde resin is added. Sufficient adhesion can also be obtained: only with the pheno-formaldehyde resin. The use of polyisocyanate per se has been intended to provide a stronger bond with the leather fiber.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

   EXAMPLE
Directly on the leather or on the polished or unpolished side of a leather tanned with chrome or subsequently tanned with vegetable substances, greased and dried, a mixture in solution of phenol-formaldehyde resin, and at least one polyester modified by isocyanate groups:
Ethyl acetate solution 1,100 cm3
5 g phenol- formaldehyde resin
1 g of polyester modified with polyisoyanate or a solution of a phenol-formaldehyde resin alone as a primer: Solution: 100 cm3 of ethyl acetate
7.5 g of phenol-formaldehyde resin without other additives.

   On a leather having a preliminary base coat 'produced in this way, a base coat is then placed in the form of a terpolymer dispersion.
 EMI4.1
 butadiene-acrylonitrile-methacrylic acid or butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer. It is also possible to mix the dispersion, due to the best assured workability, with the first colored coating in a 1: 1 ratio and to lay it on the leather previously prepared as described above. The subsequent wringing of the leather occurs after the next ironing., Commonly, with a binder wringing, plastic, which ultimately contains a light coating of a collodion emulsion lacquer to improve properties.

   The bonding of this leather can be

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 do it directly on the leather with a normal polychloroprene tackifier, which contains ethyl acetate added in somewhat increased quantity.

     The present invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments which have just been described; on the contrary, it is susceptible of variants and modifications which will appear to those skilled in the art.
