Description

  BREVET D'IMPORTATION RAYONNAGE DEMONTABLE

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   L'invention a pour objet un rayonnage démontable constitué par des pièces latérales construites comme des échelles et par des tablettes s'accrochant sur les barreaux des deux échelles qui les encadrent, les dites tablettes étant réalisées à partir de deux lisses ou longerons entre lesquels sont dis- posés plusieurs barreaux transversaux; selon une première caractéristique, les lisses ou longerons des tablettes sont des cornières métalliques dont l'aile se trouvant dans la position horizontale sert d'appui aux barreaux transversaux;

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

      un plan parallèle très rapproché. A ce point de vue l'inven- tion représente un progrès à la fois technique et économique puisque aucun comporant ou élément supplémentaire n'est nécessaire pour relier les tablettes aux échelles latéralea.

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 6>

  DEMOUNTABLE SHELVING IMPORT PATENT
The subject of the invention is a removable shelving consisting of side pieces constructed as ladders and of shelves hooking onto the bars of the two ladders which frame them, said shelves being made from two rails or side members between which are several transverse bars.

   The shelving according to the invention is designed for great assembly flexibility) it is adaptable to different individual needs and can be completed at will without difficulty; the component parts of the rayon take up very little space when stored or transported before assembly or after disassembly.

   The conditions that such shelving must fulfill are stability and ease of access as well as the assurance of the safety of the deposit. These last two conditions may in some cases be of considerable importance.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

  The cost of acquiring the racks must also be advantageous. One of the first conditions for a low manufacturing price lies in the maximum limitation of the range of component elements necessary for the production of shelving; the ease of use of the raw materials used in the manufacture of the shelving elements is another essential condition.

   The known similar shelving units only partially meet some of the required conditions; some shelving designs do not fully meet the imperative condition of stability; other embodiments are too expensive.

   The subject of the invention is a removable shelving consisting of side pieces constructed as ladders and of shelves hooking onto the bars of the two ladders which frame them, said shelves being made from two rails or side members between which are arranged several transverse bars; according to a first characteristic, the stringers or side members of the shelves are metal angles, the wing of which being in the horizontal position serves as a support for the transverse bars;

   this same horizontal wing is cut off at the ends to leave the vertical wing free for a few centimeters, because in this extension the vertical wing is notched in the form of an orochet open in its lower part to allow the hanging of the shelf on one or the other of the bars of the side pieces called ladders in terms of the trade.

   The use of angles provides the shelves and consequently the shelves, once assembled, exceptional stability and balance, especially if, according to another characteristic of the invention, the uprights of the lateral elements of the shelves have a rectangular section. or better still, a square section and that the extensions of the vertical wings of the shelf rails are in place against the uprights and in

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

      a very close parallel shot. From this point of view, the invention represents both technical and economic progress since no additional component or element is necessary to connect the shelves to the side ladders.

   The use according to the invention of metal angles for producing the smooth or side members of the shelves gives it other advantages, because the same components are designed according to two different modes, that is to say either with the aim of facilitating greatly access to the shelving or then made to very effectively preserve the stored items against false handling.

   For the safety of storage, the bars of the shelves can be arranged relative to the angles serving as rails in such a way that the end of these bars rests flat on the horizontal flange of the angles. In this mode of construction, it is observed that the vertical wing of the stringer constitutes a rim over a large part of its height; If you want to remove the stored goods, you have to lift them over this ledge. This kind of safety edge is highly desirable in self-service stores and also when it comes to household shelving.

   On the other hand, when the racks are used in distribution stores and the like where the personnel are trained to remove the stacked merchandise from the shelves, i.e. stacked one on top of the other, rimmed shelves would not be. not desired since the rim would interfere with the removal of items. For this category of use of shelving according to the invention, the shelves are constructed without rim, the bars being folded back at the ends; nur a height corresponding to that of the vertical flange of the angle iron serving as a smooth and the trench end of which rests on the horizontal wing of this same angle iron; such a shelf makes it possible to remove the stored goods without having to lift it.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

   An additional advantage resulting from the very good characteristics not only of stability but also of resistance to torsion that the shelf angles have, consists in the possibility that they offer to use the corners of the premises by having two shelves placed at an angle. straight in relation to each other, but keeping the same ease of access even in the angle of the shelving bracket thus formed. Indeed, the angles located at the front of the shelves of the left shelving stopping against the wall serve as a ladder for the shelves of the second shelving complementing the square.

   This eliminates the left-hand scale of this second shelving, a scale which would hamper the installation and removal of. goods which would be placed in the parts of shelves close to the corner of the room. The same result is obtained if we start with the assembly of the right shelving.

   The bars of the shelves are fixed against the rails according to one of the known methods, for example by welding.

  A good method of attachment for bars whose two ends have been bent is by welding these ends to the vertical flange of the angle iron.

   The construction materials for the shelves, namely the metal angle iron and the metal wire or round, as well as the construction materials for the ladders, namely a metal tube with a rectangular or square section, metal wire or round, and flat metal profile to connect the two uprights of each ladder together, they can all come from rolled or drawn products. They can receive surface coatings such as galvanization or be coated with synthetic products. It is preferable to proceed with the application of the synthetic coating after assembly of the shelving components such as ladders or shelves, for example by welding.

   The arrangement of the transverse bars of the shelves can be adapted to the different users, for example

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 with a. suitable spacing for bottle storage,
It is also possible to make reinforcements parallel to the stringers, for example using bars passing under the transverse bars of the shelves or interlaced around these bars. The side ladders can be reinforced in a similar way.

   When the racks are high and must withstand very heavy loads, it may be necessary to connect the ladders to each other by braces placed at the back of the ladders. To preserve the great simplicity of dismantling the shelving according to the invention, these braces will be fixed to the uprights by a means that is easy to undo, for example using screws and nuts.

   In the drawing board, the invention is presented very schematically; figure 1 is a perspective view of a partially constructed shelving; figure 2 is an enlarged detail of figure 1 figure 3 shows the section of the mode of oonstruotion of a type of tablet Figure 4 shows the section of the construction mode of another type of tablet.

   The shelving is made up of side ladders 11 and shelves 21. The side ladders 11 are made up of uprights 12, rungs or rungs 13 attached to uprights 12, as well as spacers 14. Shelves 21 are made from angles 22, 23 providing the function of stringers or side members with their wings 22 and 23 and of transverse bars 24 bearing on the horizontal wings 22.

  At the end of the angles 22, 23 a piece of the wing 22 is cut while at the lower part of the vertical wing 23 thus released, a notch 26 is made.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 6>

   The transverse bars 24 can be arranged on the angle bar 22, 23 as shown in Figure 3 or else be arranged as in Figure 4 in which we proceeded to a bending at right angles of the ends 24 'so that the round sections at each end of the bar rest on the horizontal flange 22 of the angle 22,23.

   'The construction method of Figure 3 leaves a flange formed by the vertical flange of the angle 22,23. This ledge is designed to prevent stored items from sliding off the shelf. On the other hand, the construction mode of FIG. 4 has been adopted to avoid obtaining such a rim in order to allow the storekeeper to slide the stored merchandise towards him, as users frequently wish.
