Abstract

Compn. consists of about 74-58 wt. % of perfluorodimethylcyclobutane (I) and about 26-42 wt. % of 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane (II) and has a const. b.pt. of about 40 degrees C. Specif., a compn. contng. 27 wt. % (II) and 73 wt. % (I) has a freezing pt of -75 degrees C, and (I) consists of a mixture of about 100 wt. % of cis and trans 1,2-perfluoro-isomers and traces of the cis and trans 1,3-perfluoro-isomers. Other compns. contng. different amounts of (I) and (II) are claimed. Compns. are used as dielectric cooling materials.
