Abstract

A holder for a tablet of solid insecticide consists of a flat plastics box. The insecticide tablet is contained in a sheath of plastics material inside the box. The plastics sheath is impermeable to the vapour of the insecticide. On removing the plastics sheath the insecticide slowly vaporises. During transit the insecticide cannot contact the holder and so no risk of the user touching the insecticide occurs. The insecticide may be e.g. dimethyldichlorovinyl phosphate.
