Abstract

Powders are sol. in cold H2O, have little tendency to cake, are suitable for use in tablets and capsules, etc. and contain 40-60%, pref. 50% by wt. of a vit.E-active cpd. (I), 60-40% by wt. of a gelatin hydrolysae (II), and pref. 0.5-0.9% of an antimicrobial preservative. Prefd. (I) is dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate. (II) has a 0 Bloom, and an MW of ca 9,000-11,000. Powder is prepd. by spray drying an emulsion of (I) and (II).
