Description

 <EMI ID=1.1>

 <EMI ID=2.1>

 <EMI ID=3.1>

 <EMI ID=4.1>

- les figures 4 à 6 représentent différentes présentations d'un élément textile poilu ;

- La figure 5 représente un élément textile poilu sans enveloppe, les brins étant maintenus entre eux à la base 3 par soudure ou collage;

 <EMI ID=6.1>

 <EMI ID=7.1>

 <EMI ID=8.1>

 <EMI ID=9.1>

 <EMI ID=10.1>

n'y a pas d'implantation.

On obtient ainsi un article souple, décoratif.

Exemple 3

  Hairy textile elements, their manufacturing process and articles to

bristles made with said elements.

The present invention relates to hairy textile elements, of the pile tuft type, their manufacturing process, as well as the articles made with said elements.

 <EMI ID = 1.1>

or knitting as well as by the manufacturing process using the stitching or tufting technique. Used for clothing or furnishings, pile textile articles are mass produced, resulting in a certain uniformity, for example of the covered surfaces if they are pile articles intended for floor coverings or wall.

The coating market corresponds to one of the needs of contemporary man who wishes to improve the environment. where he lives, making it comfortable, looking for good thermal and sound insulation, creating a pleasant decor. However, due to the uniformity due to the aforementioned manufacturing contingencies, it is not possible for contemporary man to compose an environment according to his desire, modifiable in the same way, and thus to realize a personal work according to his tastes. , according to the desired atmospheres, as it can do for example by the use of paint.

The object of the present application is to propose a solution allowing the individual to create his own decor as he wishes.

 <EMI ID = 2.1>

ized in that it consists of an assembly of textile strands organized in bundles, one end of which contains all the strands in a stable manner, while the other end has strands which expand freely.

The strands which make up the element according to the invention can be made from natural, artificial or synthetic textiles, used alone or as a mixture. They can be of equal length or of different lengths, curly or flat, of the same section or of different section, of the same title or of different titles, colored or not. For the production of hairy textile elements, it is possible to use filiform structures such as continuous threads, yarns of fibers, rovings, strips, used alone or as a mixture. The strands may or may not be colored.

   These elements are generally solid, flat or cylindrical; It may be advantageous, to vary the effects and reduce the surface mottling of articles made from hairy textile elements, of solid shape, and moreover to facilitate the coloring of said elements, to have hairy textile elements comprising at least

a vacuum, and this is also the object of the present invention.

The hairy textile elements can be associated with a support or feet by the end maintaining all the strands in a stable manner.

 <EMI ID = 3.1>

A subject of the present invention is also several methods of manufacturing the above-mentioned hairy textile element. A preferred method of manufacturing hairy textile elements is characterized in that at least two filiform textile structures are assembled in parallel, which these assembled structures are at least then surrounded by place with an envelope, then that one cuts said structures at least at one of the ends of the casing holding the textile structures in place.

The envelope can be flexible, such as a film, a sticky paper; preferably, a crepe paper is used which is held in place by an adhesive paper film at the location of the connection, or else by rings or ligatures. It is also possible to maintain the base of the textile element by welding / cutting, the strands being welded together during this operation. The envelope may be rigid, such as a flat plastic base or comprising a means for fixing the hairy textile element. The envelope can be kept in place or removed depending on its nature, the article to be produced and the desire of the producer. The hairy textile element may have a self-adhesive base.

According to another method, the hairy textile element is produced by cutting along at least one generatrix of a winding of yarn; the cut strands are held in place at the cutting end by glue or a sur-

 <EMI ID = 4.1>

welding / cutting process which makes it possible, in a single operation, to carry out both cutting and maintaining the strands by welding, which automatically constitutes the pile of the hairy textile element. The hairy textile element may be provided with an attached foot which ensures both the stability of the strands and the stability of the whole, this attached foot being either flexible such as a small flat textile surface: film, or rigid.

If they are hairy textile elements comprising at least one void, this may be central and / or peripheral; it can form concentric circles as is illustrated in the accompanying figures given by way of illustrative example in which one distinguishes: FIG. 1, a hairy textile element in the form of a toric cylinder consisting of the hairy element 1, the base 3 containing the bristles and the central void 2; Figure 2, the central void 2 is eccentric; Figure 3, there are two concentric voids which may possibly be eccentric.

For the manufacture of hairy textile elements comprising voids, the procedure is as above, but by introducing a core during the manufacture of the elements. this core being either associated with the device and leaving its imprint, or forming part of the elements introduced into and then shaped by the device; said core will be removed later, at the same time as the envelope, or later. This core can be a flexible or rigid body, of apparent diameter generally greater than at least one of the elements.

Concerning the full-shaped hairy textile elements, the present application will be better understood with the aid of the appended figures and the following description relating thereto:
- Figures 4 to 6 show different presentations of a hairy textile element;
- Figure 7 shows an embodiment of hairy textile elements.
FIG. 8 represents another embodiment of hairy textile elements: <EMI ID = 5.1> of hairy textile elements according to the invention.

In FIG. 4, the casing 4 can be seen from the base of the element holding the strands 1 which open out freely at the other end.

- Figure 5 shows a hairy textile element without an envelope, the strands being held together at the base 3 by welding or gluing;
- Figure 6 shows a hairy textile element, the strands being held together at the base 3 by welding or gluing with an insert 5.

In FIG. 7, one distinguishes the filiform textile structures such as continuous threads 1, held in places by rings or envelopes 4, the cutting being carried out at the level of the locations 6.

In FIG. 8, the filiform textile structures 1 can be seen held by an envelope 4, this enveloped cylindrical shape is then cut to the desired lengths.

As indicated, the present application also relates to pile articles produced by means of at least one pile textile element.

The hairy textile element can be used in furnishings, bedding, bodywork, clothing, toys, and in general for any decorative effect. As it can be of any shape and color, it allows

to achieve fancy effects at will.

Self-adhesive elements can be used comprising a base coated with an adhesive covered with a tear-off film; this glue, based

 <EMI ID = 6.1>

example a flexible textile surface; this form of use allows a wide variety of patterns to be produced in the same place where you want to see them, while traditional decorative elements (carpets, tapestries, etc.) are generally made outside.

It is also claimed in the present application the possibility of introducing a coloring operation in the manufacturing process of the elements. This coloring operation, continuously with the manufacture, can be carried out either before, during or after the making of the fabric. hairy textile element of solid shape or having voids. If the coloring operation is carried out before, the filiform structures can for example pass through an impregnation tank and then be subjected to fixing, rinsing and drying, either held in a bundle, or spread out and kept parallel by means of a comb for example ; other means of coloring can be used, for example by transfer, by printing, by spraying, by depositing coloring matter and using a doctor blade or process by brief continuous exhaustion, etc ...

When the coloring operation is carried out in the device for manufacturing the hairy textile element, the dye can be deposited according to the methods and by means of the coloring device described in French patents numbers 1 491 449, 2 109 421 and 2 226,818 of the plaintiff. It is thus possible, if the hairy textile element being formed comprises a vacuum formed by a part of the device, to allow the coloring by said part, this coloring then taking place from the inside of the hairy textile element in progress. training.

When the coloring operation is performed after completion

of the hairy textile element, it is possible, for example, to use the process which is the subject of the aforementioned patents, or the process by short continuous exhaustion, or to use one of the means employed for the coloring before manufacture of the element.

It is also possible to obtain special effects by combining the coloring before and / or during and / or after the manufacture of the hairy textile element. It is also possible to provide for the use as an envelope of a special support coated with a coloring substance transferable by heat treatment.

It is also possible to envisage coloring the filiform textile structures after cutting or laying them, for the realization

 <EMI ID = 7.1>

and sold in boxes, these can contain, in addition to the thread-like structures, coloring means in the form of capsules or injectable with a syringe; the user can thus realize the reasons which he wishes.

It is also possible to provide for the coloring of the hairy textile elements continuously with the manufacture of the yarn if it is a continuous textile; thus, we will manufacture the yarn, possibly its texturing,

its coloring and then its continuous assembly with other yarns to make hairy textile elements.

 <EMI ID = 8.1>

With the hairy textile elements of the present invention, it is possible to make wall panels for decorative use, by mounting on a support, which is a square mesh gauze, the hairy textile elements; as shown in figure 9, the hairy elements are mounted upside down, the base 3 mounted on the top, embedded in a fusible plastic being associated with the gauze 7 by application of heat by means of a hot-soldering iron for example. This surface obtained can be designed in the form of cuttable or tear-off strips.

It is also possible to trap the base of the hairy textile element, in a means 8 comprising two conduits 9 rectangularly crossing the means 8 or base (FIG. 10). It is then possible to put on several hairy textile elements like pearls, to achieve the desired decorative object, the textile elements being able to be of different base shape, colors, sizes, etc..

It is also possible to achieve decorative effects by implanting the hairy textile elements, for example in an armchair 10 consisting of a block of expanded plastic foam, in which orifices have been optionally arranged for the insertion of the hairy textile elements, this insertion taking place either on one side or on the other side of the sheet of

 <EMI ID = 9.1>

being inserted (Figure 11) through the reverse hole; in this case, the base element illustrated in FIG. 6 is preferably used, provided with a casing which is then subsequently removed to facilitate the development of the bristles (FIG. 12).

It is of course possible to implant the hairy textile elements directly in the molded foam block, as illustrated in figure 13, either by making orifices in which the elements are inserted, or by implanting elements provided with a base 11. pointed provided for this purpose (figure 14).

Another example of use of these hairy textile elements is fixing to the ceiling to give hairy effects, such as algae, the hairs being in this case very long, of different lengths, this fixing to the ceiling, as for fixing for decorative wall motif , can be done by any means such as magnetic for example. In order to facilitate the connections, the feet of the hairy textile elements are preferably geometric in shape, the surface being indifferent and depending on the desired effects. Delivered in this way, ready to use or cut out - at home, it is possible to make personal work using the hairy textile elements. An additional advantage is in

the ability to change designs when desired, or when they are used.

The following examples illustrate the present invention without limiting it.

Example 1

A bundle of 50 yarns is formed each consisting of a two-end twist, twist 100 turns, Z direction, of two yarns, 100 turns Z direction, of polyhexamethylene adipamide of 2800 dtex / 136 strands each.

With this bundle, hairy textile elements are produced as shown in FIG. 1, by the method illustrated in FIG. 4: total length of the element 5 centimeters, length of the envelope in sticky crepe paper:

2 centimeters. The hairy textile elements obtained are implanted in an automobile seat made of expanded plastic foam on which the design that is to be reproduced has been printed. To implant the tufts, the foam is pierced with a needle at the previously marked places, a spacer is used to enlarge the orifice obtained and the elements whose base has been coated with neoprene glue are implanted.

A seat covered with hair is thus easily obtained.

Example 2

A bundle of 80 threads is formed each consisting of a two-end twist, twist 100 turns, Z direction, two threads, 100 turns, S direction, in polyhexamethylene adipamide of 2800 dtex / 136 strands each. This beam receives a slight twist and is passed through a device in which it is wrapped in a sticky crepe paper.

We thus obtain a long cylindrical mass of threads, wrapped,

as shown in Figure 5, which is then cut to the desired length, wrapping the compact strands over the entire length of the element up to

the pose. This is carried out after cutting by coating one side of the element with an adhesive and laying on a textile surface; after drying, the envelope

 <EMI ID = 10.1>

there is no implantation.

A flexible, decorative article is thus obtained.

Example 3

Around a core formed by an expanded polystyrene ring, of

4 mm in diameter, 40 ends of a twisted yarn obtained by twisting at
80 turns per meter, S direction, of two continuous polyhexamethylene adipamide threads of 2800 dtex / 136 strands, twist 80 turns per meter, Z direction each.

The hairy textile element obtained, 14 mm in diameter, is surrounded

of crepe paper, held in place with duct tape. The cigarette-like element obtained is cut into lengths of 50 mm. The expanded polystyrene core is subsequently destroyed after gluing the textile elements on a support <EMI ID = 11.1>

hairy by spraying a light quantity of trichlorethylene which thus makes it possible to remove said polystyrene while leaving only a few traces towards the foot of the hairy textile element which is then in the form of a toric cylinder.

Example 4

60 continuous strands of polyhexamethylene adipamide with a titer of 2800 dtex / 136 strands are placed in a parallel manner, by means of a comb. This tablecloth presentation passes through an impregnation tank containing an aqueous solution of the following products:
- Thickener: 3 to 4 g / liter of Solvitose CUM OFA, a nonionic product obtained from galactomannan (Company DIAMOND SHAMROCK France, eg DOITTEAU).
- Color: 5 g / liter of Yellow Nylozane E-GL (SANDOZ Company

CI Acid Yellow 29/1).

- Wetting agent: 4 g / liter of Hostapal CV, a nonionic product obtained from alkylphenol on ethylene oxide (HOEC company: iST).
- Foaming agent: 3 g / liter of Doitteau 27 C, which is a modified fatty alcohol sulfate.

Acetic acid is added in sufficient quantity to bring the

 <EMI ID = 12.1>

pass as a tablecloth in the tank, then in a scarf; the coloring is then fixed by spraying at 100 [deg.] C; the threads pass again in a tank for rinsing, drying then taking place at a temperature of 180 [deg.] C.

The colored, dry threads are finally put back into bundles and are transformed into hairy textile elements as described in the main application, namely taken in place of a kraft paper envelope, held together by an adhesive tape, then cut into lengths. 50 mm.

Example 5

Using a bundle of 40 continuous polyhexamethylene adipamide threads, 2800 dtex / 136 strands, a hairy textile element is produced.

12 mm in diameter, using a perforated envelope.

The element obtained then passes into an impregnation tank containing the same elements as in Example 1, with the exception of the dye used.

which is in this case the Yellow Trichrome JRLL (Péchiney-Ugine-Kuhlmann = CI Yellow Acid 121). It is then subjected to the same operations of fixing, rinsing

and drying, then cut into pieces 40 mm in length.
