Description

 <EMI ID=2.1>   <EMI ID=3.1>

 <EMI ID=4.1>

Dans les dessins, la figure 1 est une vue en élévation et en coupe longitudinale d'un bateau construit suivant la présente invention, bateau dont l'élément mobile, coulissant, se trouve au-dessus de la cabine, tel qu'il se présente dans la position de jour; la figure 2 est une vue en élévation et en coupe longitudinale du même bateau, dont l'élément mobile, coulissant, se trouve au-dessus de l'espace de séjour à découvert, tel qu'il se présente dans la position de nuit; la figure 3, représente, vu de dessus, un bateau à voile construit suivant la présente invention dont la cabine est en position de jour; la figure 4 représente, vu de dessus, un bateau à voile construit suivant la présente invention dont la cabine est en position de nuit;

   la figure 5 représente, vu en oblique du haut, un bateau à voile construit suivant la présente invention dont la cabine est en position de nuit; la figure 6 représente, vu en oblique du haut, un bateau à voile construit suivant la présente invention dont la cabine est en position de jour; la figure 7 est une vue en élévation et en coupe longitudinale d'un bateau à moteur construit suivant la présente invention dont la cabine est raccourcie; la figure 8 est une vue en élévation et en coupe longitudinale du même bateau dont la cabine est allongée; la figure 9 représente schématiquement, vue en élévation, la partie de poupe d'un bateau répondant à un autre exemple de réalisation de la présente invention, l'élément de structure coulissant du bateau étant dessiné tel qu'il se présente lorsqu'il se trouve en position de jour;

 <EMI ID=13.1>

 <EMI ID=16.1>

 <EMI ID=17.1>

  "Boat with interior accommodation space

and structural element of this boat "

The present invention relates to a boat and the accommodation and living arrangements thereof.

The purpose of the present invention is to make available, inside the boat, larger accommodation and living spaces than is normally the case, without

that the external dimensions of the boat must be increased.

Today, we are often forced to adopt

unsatisfactory solutions in the construction of

boats, for example in the construction of sailing boats

and motor boats intended for family use, in this <EMI ID = 1.1>

meaning that we are reduced to providing only relatively small interior spaces for accommodation and living.

This has the consequence that the occupants of the boat, when they enter or remain in these spaces, often have to bend and so to speak crawl, which greatly affects the comfort and pleasure of navigation. In order to improve the comfort of navigation, navigation enthusiasts and boat builders strive to build boats with as much interior accommodation and living space as possible.

The solutions which have thus been proposed aim to allow the best use of the space available in the boat, which comprises a long separate stern cabin, and, by these solutions, an effort is made to plan in the most judicious manner the interior spaces of the boat. These solutions can be considered, in main order, as interior layout solutions of fixed spaces, which have the effect of reducing to an equivalent extent the exterior or uncovered spaces of the boat, in particular as regards the place where you sit (like the cockpit of sailing boats).

Efforts are also made to obtain large interior spaces in boats for family use in which an elongated fixed cabin structure is provided, which makes it possible to provide passengers with a relatively large space reserved for berths but also involves the need to give the boat a great length or to reduce the open living space.

There are also boats that have an extendable roof section, which increases the space covered by the roof. Boats of this kind have been described in US Patents Nos. 2,947,277 and 3,165,762 and

 <EMI ID = 2.1> <EMI ID = 3.1>

 <EMI ID = 4.1>

tion of the roof is simply modified, the roof being moved 'towards the bow part or towards the stern part of the boat, the capacity of the part covered by the roof being however not increased thereby.

Given the sparse use of fuels and lubricants due to the increase in the price of crude oils and the general increase in the price of raw materials, it is undesirable to increase the size of the boats, although we want to have the maximum space in them. With regard to the construction of boats, it is also necessary to remain attentive to the fact that no concessions can be accepted in matters of safety.

The boat which is the subject of the present invention guarantees the advantages mentioned above. The structural element of the boat which is the subject of the invention with an open cabin and open living space, which comprises a roof element, a structural element which is designed to be able to be moved in the longitudinal direction of the boat in view to allow a modification of the ratio between the interior accommodation space and the open living space, is characterized in that it comprises, in addition to the roof part entering into the construction of the cabin and being integral with this part of the roof, a part used in the construction of the open space.

The aforementioned structural element is designed to be able to be moved so that one of its ends is placed in the closed position, hereinafter called "night position", so as to form an extension of the fixed cabin of the boat and that it is placed, in the open position, hereinafter called "day position", above the fixed cabin, while the other end of the structural element <EMI ID = 5.1>

this place, in the night position, above the open space of the boat and, in the day position, forms an extension of this space.

The displacement path of the structural element in question is, according to another particularity of embodiment of the present invention, provided such that the structural element is, in each of the two extreme positions of its displacement, tightly pressed against the part fixed.

The invention will still be described in more detail below, giving examples of embodiment and with reference to the drawings appended to this specification, drawings in which the different parts have been shown diagrammatically and in which certain parts have been drawn in hatching so as to appear more clearly.

In the drawings, FIG. 1 is a view in elevation and in longitudinal section of a boat built according to the present invention, a boat whose movable, sliding element is located above the cabin, as it stands. in the day position; Figure 2 is an elevational view in longitudinal section of the same boat, the movable member, sliding, is above the open living space, as it is in the night position; FIG. 3 represents, seen from above, a sailing boat constructed according to the present invention, the cabin of which is in the day position; FIG. 4 represents, seen from above, a sailing boat constructed according to the present invention, the cabin of which is in the night position;

   FIG. 5 represents, seen obliquely from the top, a sailing boat constructed according to the present invention, the cabin of which is in the night position; FIG. 6 represents, seen obliquely from the top, a sailing boat constructed according to the present invention, the cabin of which is in the day position; Figure 7 is an elevational view in longitudinal section of a motor boat built according to the present invention whose cabin is shortened; Figure 8 is an elevational view in longitudinal section of the same boat whose cabin is extended; FIG. 9 schematically represents, in elevation view, the stern part of a boat corresponding to another embodiment of the present invention, the sliding structural element of the boat being drawn as it appears when it is found in day position;

   FIG. 10 represents the space where one sits in the cockpit of sailing boats, of the same boat, seen from above, the movable structural element being drawn in hatched form:
FIG. 11 schematically represents the stern part of the boat shown in FIG. 9, the sliding structural element being drawn as it appears when it is in the night position and the boat being represented in elevation and in section , and FIG. 12 represents the space where one sits visible in FIG. 11, seen from above, as it appears when it is in the night position, the movable structural element being drawn in hatching. FIG. 1 illustrates by a schematic view an embodiment corresponding to the present invention.

   It is a sailing boat which comprises a hull 1, constructed in a conventional manner, and whose deck structure, designed for the application of the invention, comprises a cabin 2 and a structural element 3 making part of the cabin according to the invention, structural element 3 which is shown in FIG. 1 as it appears in the open position, hereinafter called "day position". The posterior part

4 of the structural element 3 and the. Part 5 of the boat where one sits together constitutes the space - part where one sits or the cockpit of sailing boats necessary for the movement of element 3 when it changes to the day position; below the rear part 4 of the structural element 3, there is a lower space 6, in which there is normally provided, in a sailing boat, a fixed part dans.quelle one sits or a cockpit. The structural element 3. when in the day position, constitutes, with the fixed part of the cabin,

of a classic boat construction. The structural element 3 and the hull 1 of the boat are provided with displacement rails (which are not shown in the drawings) and

 <EMI ID = 7.1>

can be moved in the direction of the bow and in the direction of the stern and so that, in its extreme positions, the structural element 3 is tightly joined to the fixed elements of the boat.

As shown in FIG. 2, the structural element 3 of the boat which is the subject of this exemplary embodiment has been moved so that it is in the closed position, hereinafter called "position of night". The space reserved for the order, which is constituted by the rear part 4 of the structural element 3 and by the part of

 <EMI ID = 11.1>

there is a space 6 of the entire height of the cabin, from which the spaces reserved for the rest in berths and the stay are much larger than in the case of a boat of conventional type.

To allow a better understanding of the invention, the boat has also been shown above in FIGS. 3 and 4 and seen obliquely, from above, in FIGS. 5 and 6, as it occurs respectively when the cabin is in the day position and when it is in the night position. The figures show the change in the ratio between the volume of the cabin and the volume of the open space which is determined by the displacement of the structural element 3.

The front part 7 belonging to the structural element 3 covers, in the night position, the opening point

Although the mobile structural element 3 of the cabin which is the subject of the present invention is, in main order, intended to be used for sailing boats. it is also well suited for motor boats.

 <EMI ID = 13.1>

an embodiment according to which the invention is applied to a motor boat. In this case, the hull 1, of conventional type, of the motor boat was provided with a fixed cabin part 2 and with a mobile structural element 3, corresponding to the invention, by means of which the ratio between the interior and exterior living spaces of the motor boat can be modified as in the case of the sailing boat which has been described above. As shown in Figure 7, the movable structural member 3 sa is in the forward position, and the open living space of the motor boat

i has thus reached its maximum. As shown in <EMI ID = 14.1> Figure 8, the structural element 3 has been brought to the rear position, the cabin space being increased and the outside space of the stern part 5 of the motor boat being reduced by: correspondingly. In the case of this motor boat, it is possible to maintain the structural element 3 in the rear position in inclement or rainy weather for example, the space of the cabin 2 thus being spacious and well protected. In good weather, it is obviously more pleasant to keep the structural element 3 in the front position, which makes it possible to have a larger open space.

The construction which is the subject of the present invention makes it possible to obtain, in the case of shorter boats than has hitherto been the case, two cabin spaces separated from each other, between which there remains a common space, which can for example be used for the development of an office or a sanitary installation. Until now, in a boat of equivalent length, it has been difficult to use the stern section cabin space, for the reason that most of this space was left below the benches of the open space. Inevitably, provision had to be made for the berths of four people in a common room, without any partition or separation space.

   In a boat designed according to the present invention, two couples can spend the night each in their own cabin, without in any way interfering with each other. The exit from the aft room is possible through the normal access hatch cover, while the occupants of the front room can exit, without disturbing those of the aft room, through the place where the sail is in the bow, passage which can also be used as an emergency exit.

Depending on the construction of the boat and the location of the <EMI ID = 15.1> cabin 2, the position of the structural element 3 can be modified; if, for example, the cabin 2 is located in the stern part of the boat, as may occur in the case of fishing type boats, the structural element 3 can be provided at the front of the cabin 2. Similarly, if the boat is of the type such that it includes a cabin 2 in the bow part and a cabin 2 in the stern part, and if the central part is open, the structural element 3 can be provided for the front of the rear part or at the rear of the front part, or in both places.

It is possible to obtain, by means of the rail and joint arrangements discussed above, a seal such that the self-draining characteristic of the sailing boat is preserved.

Since in the case of relatively large boats, the deck structure may constitute the roof of the cabin, the present invention has been illustrated, in Figures 9 to 12, in its application to such boats.

In the case of the exemplary embodiment which is illustrated by FIGS. 9 to 12, it is a boat which comprises a front cabin 2a at the anterior end of the hull 1 and a rear cabin 2b in the part stern. In this example, a boat has been shown in which the forward cabin and the aft cabin have been separated, but the manner in which the interior accommodation spaces of the boat have been separated does not matter with regard to the inventive idea. The goal to be achieved is only to be able, in a simple way, to modify the relationship between the interior space and the exterior space for the night conditions and the day conditions for example.

The structural element 3, which is designed to be fixed tightly to the fixed elements of the boat, comprises a part 4 having the same shape as the part where one sits and which can be placed in the night position. above the part where one sits 5. When it is in the day position, part 4 constitutes the front part of the part where one sits 5.

The front part 7 of the structural element 3 is, in FIGS. 11 and 12, represented as an extension of the deck 6 and it thus serves as a roof for the aft cabin 2b when the structural element 3 is in the position of night. the deck 6 of the stern part of the boat is extended towards the rear by the anterior part 7 of the structural element 3 and, at the same time, the rear part of the aft cabin 2b reaches its full height. At night and in inclement weather, this extension of the rear cabin is of great importance because of the improvement in comfort it provides.

Between the place reserved for the legs of the place where one can sit 5 and the cabin 2b is left, in the boat, a wider seat and / or a part of deck, which is covered by the equivalent seat and / or the bridge part, depending on the location occupied by the sliding structural element.

In relatively large boats, the deck height is sufficient, even without a higher cabin structure. However, the space reserved for the legs of the place where one can sit in the outdoor space becomes an obstacle to the use of the space located below the bridge at full height. Thanks to the invention, the inconvenience resulting from the presence of the place reserved for the legs of the place where one can sit which harms the interior space can be avoided.

The present invention can find its application both in the case of sailing boats and in the case of motor boats. It can be applied to all types of boat which have a sufficient height for this purpose.

The solution provided by the invention in question has the advantage that the interior spaces of the boat can be better used than has never been the case until now.

 <EMI ID = 16.1>

the capacity of the available interior spaces is more advantageous than that of the available spaces of existing boats of equivalent size. The invention makes it possible to have, at low cost, a larger interior space, without the need to reduce the exterior space, which can be arranged as desired.

In addition, when using, in the case of sailing boats, the movable sliding structural element, a more advantageous weight distribution is achieved than normal in the boat during navigation, and this gives more security to the navigation.

Thanks to the arrangements of rails and seals which have been mentioned above, it is possible to obtain a seal such that the interior spaces obtained by means of the structural element are of equal quality, as regards the temperature. for example, to that of the fixed interior spaces of the boat, and, as already mentioned above, the self-draining characteristic of the boat can be preserved.

The manufacture of boats according to the present invention can take place in series, in the sense that the constituent elements of the boats are manufactured separately, after which the boats can be mounted, and this allows industrial production of the boats and structural elements conform to the invention. The structural elements in question can also be manufactured to be adapted to boats already in service, this allowing better use of the available spaces. In such cases, part of the bridge structure is removed in order to adapt it.

 <EMI ID = 17.1>

In the various figures of the attached drawings, there are shown some embodiments of the invention.

These embodiments may however be subject to modifications, within the limits defined by the claims set out at the end of this memo, and this for example exactly as a function of the particular use for which each boat is intended. The joints of the structural element in question here can also be designed so that they respond to the way in which the resetting of a pos:
tion to the other is carried out. In Figures 9 to 12, there is shown an embodiment according to which the roof of the aft cabin is not at the level of the deck of the boat carrying the control panel.

   However, the expression boat deck has been used in the description, for the reason that it does not matter, as far as the invention is concerned, whether the roof of the interior space is constituted by the deck structure itself of the boat or by a lower bridge structure covering the interior space, provided that the interior space is of sufficient height to be used as desired according to the present invention. The outside space of the boat reserved for the stay has been considered as a space where one can sit or as a cockpit, but it could just as easily represent any other open space, which can be the case on boats where we work.

   The construction, as it is carried out according to the present invention, slightly increases the cost of manufacturing the boat, while it increases to a considerable extent the employment value of the living spaces of the boat.
