Abstract
Nouveau depsipeptide antiobiotique cyclique appelé luzopeptine E2 et produit par fermentation d'Actinomadura luzonensis ATCC 31491 et par isolement de l'antibiotique exempt de substances produites simultanément. La luzopeptine E2 a une activité antimicrobienne et inhibe la croissance de certaines tumeurs chez les mammifères. Le milieu de fermentation est utilement additionné d'un composé choisi parmi la D,L-méthionine, la S-méthylcystéine, la S-éthyl-L-cystéine et la D,L-éthionine.
