Abstract

Procédé continu de production d'une laine résistant au rétrécissement, comprenant les phases opératoires suivantes : (i) l'application à la laine d'un prétraitement de chloration oxydante; (ii) le traitement ensuite par une solution aqueuse d'un polymère de manière à amener celui-ci à s'épuiser sur les fibres de laine; et (iii) le séchage de la laine jusqu'à un taux d'humidité choisi, ce procédé étant caractérisé en ce qu'on utilise un polymère contenant des groupes amino quaternisés dans la phase (ii) et en ce que la laine est séchée dans la phase (iii) jusqu'à un taux d'humidité de 12 à 18 % en poids par rapport au poids de la laine sèche, en utilisant au moins 20 % d'énergie en moins que celle nécessaire pour sécher, au meme taux d'humidité, la laine qui a été rendue résistante au rétrécissement par des procédés continus traditionnels.
