Abstract

Un courant de liquide contenant la matière passe de bas en haut dans une chambre de traitement verticale d'allongement non inférieur à 3/1, un micro-organisme floculant capable de digérer au moins une partie de la matière organique biodégradable étant clutivé dans la chambre de traitement, et un gaz contenant de l'oxygène étant introduit dans la chambre pour permettre le développement du micro-organisme. Selon l'invention le micro-organisme est essentiellement floculant dans toute l'étendue de la chambre, et le mélange formé par le liquide traité, le gaz et l'excédent de micro-organisme est évacué par un orifice commun au sommet de la chambre.
