Abstract

Selon ce procédé de fabrication d'une matière de base pour tapis tuftés, une couche de support (2) et une couche formée par une nappe de fibres enchevetrées (4) sont réunies et sont liées et fixées l'une à l'autre sous l'action d'une forte chaleur. Pour la liaison et la fixation, il est utilisé une couche (6), destinées à assurer l'adhérence, qui présente un point de fusion inférieur à ceux des matières des deux couches (2 et 4). La chaleur est réglée de telle façon que seule la couche (6) destinée à assurer l'adhérence fonde et qu'elle entoure partiellement les zones tournées vers elle des deux couches (2 et 4) à assembler et se noie dans ces couches. Une fusion des matières de ces deux couches elles-memes est de cette manière évitée.
