Abstract
L'appareil absorbe l'énergie produite par les déplacements d'une canalisation sous l'effet de forces sismiques et comprend une base sur laquelle des plaques absorbant l'énergie sont montées en porte à faux. Les extrémités libres externes des plaques sont couplées à un bras dont une extrémité est reliée à une canalisation dont le déplacement doit etre maitrisé. Lorsque cette canalisation est déplacée, les plaques fléchissent de manière uniforme. Ces plaques sont conçues pour éviter tout flambage du à une flexion excessive.
