Abstract

Cette garniture annulaire de matière élastique est destinée à réaliser l'étanchéité de la fente, délimitée par deux pièces de machine mobiles l'une par l'autre, entre deux espaces sous des pressions différentes, la garniture annulaire pouvant etre insérée dans une gorge pratiquée dans l'une des pièces de machine. Elle comporte, dans sa surface latérale (1a) située du cote de l'espace sous haute pression, une rainure continue (2) ayant approximativement la forme d'un V en coupe transversale, rainure dont la pronfondeur est au moins égale à la demi-épaisseur de la garniture annulaire (1) et qui est en communication avec l'espace sous haute pression.
