Cable électrique chauffant comprenant au moins un conducteur axial (1), un isolant minéral comprimé (2) et une gaine métallique (3), et muni d'une surface plane d'appui sur un organe à chauffer. Il comporte une semelle métallique (4) le long de la surface d'appui, et il est entouré au moins sur la portion de son pourtour où il n'est pas à proximité de la semelle métallique, d'un profilé (6) en un matériau calorifuge.
