Abstract
Procédé pour extraire la zircone du zircon dissocié, suivant lequel on fait réagir des pellets (18) de zircon dissocié broyé, de carbone et d'un liant avec du chlore gazeux à une température élevée pour produire du tétrachlorure de zirconium sensiblement exempt de tétrachlorure de silicium. Avantageusement, la température de réaction est de 450 à 800 degrés C, le carbone utilisé est du charbon de bois ou bien du coke de pétrole broyé et le rapport pondéral du zircon au cabone est de 2:1 à 6:1.
