Abstract

Appareil pour étirer des écoulements de verre fondu (12) sous la forme de filaments (14) et à découper ces filaments en éléments discrets, comportant un premier organe rotatif (32) un second organe rotatif (40) voisin du premier et servant à découper les filaments de manière à former des éléments discrets (24), des moyens (36) pour entrainer en rotation le premier organe autour de son axe afin d'amener lesdits écoulements de matière sous la forme de filaments, un moyen en forme de chariot rotatif (60) dont l'axe de rotation est écarté de l'axe de rotation de l'organe (32) et des moyens d'actionnement (88) servant à entrainer en rotation le chariot de manière à décaler latéralement l'axe de rotation (35) du premier organe afin d'accroitre ou de réduire la distance entre les axes de rotation (35, 43) des organes (32, 40).
