Abstract

The mixture is designed in particular for the repair of roadsurfacing. It is fireproof, ecologically clean as it separates noinjurious substances, can be treated with existing machinery, itsstorage life being long and its cohesion to the surface on whichit is laid is improved thus increasing its operational life. Thecomposition contains from 72 to 78% andesite 4-12 mm, from 19 to25% crushed sand 0-4 mm, activated rock powder from 1 to 5% andbinding bitumen composition 4.5-5.5 pt.wt. per 100 pt.wt. mineralfiller. The bitumen mixture binding the mixture is in the form ofdiluted bitumen consisting of viscous bitumen 91-94%, light oilfrom 10 to 6% and adhesion additive of aminodiamines based onthallic fatty acids and ethylenediamine 0.2-3% of the bitumencontent. By the method the mixture is prepared in a standardequipment for hot mixtures, the mineral fillers and the preheatedbinding bitumen composition heated to 100°C are homogenized attemperatures ranging from 100 to 130°C until the complete wettingof the particles.
