Abstract

The instrument is applied in cardio-vascular surgery. Its construction is simplified and allows the fast, easy and atraumatic implantation of the vessel prosthesis. The instrument includes a cylindrical stem (1), at the one end of which a handle (2) is placed, while the other end holds a tunnelling peak (3) with a conically shaped working edge and a fixated aperture (5), cut perpendicularly along the longitudinal axis. The tunnelling peak (3) is changeable during the implantation, with a lead (4) of the vessel prosthesis, formed as a tight cylindrical body with an oval peak and cut into its two ends other fixated apertures (6), whose axes are perpendicular to the geometrical axis of the lead (4).
