Abstract
The formulation is used in agriculture as a pesticide. It is stable, easy to handle, and preserves its activity even in the event of using pendimethaline as a mix of orange and yellow crystals. It comprises of the following components in weight/volume percentage: from 5.0 to 50 pendimethaline, which may be a mix of orange and yellow crystals in a ratio of 4 to 100: 96 to 0; up to 50 of a second pesticide - isoproturon, chlortoluron, atrazine or an isomer mix of methyl 6-/4 isopropyl-4- methyl-5-oxy-2-imidazoline-2-il/metatoluate and 2-/4- isopropyl-4- methyl-5-oxy-2-imidazoline-2-il/paratoluate; from 3.0 to 30.0 additives - surfactants, dispersants or wetting agents, agents preventing freezing, anti-foaming agents, fillers and preservatives and water from 20.0 to 92.0. The method requires the hot mixing of pendimethaline and the second pesticide in water, containing the anti-foaming agent and the surfactants, whereupon the mix obtained after intensive agitation is ground into a suspension with an average particle size of less than 20 microns, preferably 2 - 10 microns. The remaining components are added to the suspension, which is then cooled to room temperature and the resulting water suspension composition is packaged.
