Abstract

<B>LENTE OFTáLMICA MULTIFOCAL PROGRESSIVA<D>, tendo uma superfície asférica que compreende uma região de visão de longe (VL), uma região de visão de perto (VP), uma região de visão intermediária, um meridiano principal de progressão que passa através dessas três regiões, e um centro de montagem (CM), sendo que a região de visão de longe inclui um setor angular com o seu ápice no centro de montagem e a um ângulo central de 110 graus, dentro do qual os valores do cilindro e da esfera são menores ou iguais a 0,50 diopter, e uma região da lente acima do ponto de referência de visão de perto e que se estende substancialmente até o meio da região de visão intermediária tem uma variação máxima nos valores do cilindro de 20 mm para ambos os lados do meridiano limitada a menos ou igual a 0,30 diopter, e a menos ou igual a 10% do aumento de potência da lente. As lentes obtidas, geralmente com um aumento de potência maior ou igual a 2,50, têm regiões de visão de perto e intermediária mais amplas, bem como uma distribuição da esfera e do cilindro que é a mais homogênea possível em toda a superfície da lente.
