Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"PRODUçãO MICROBIANA DE LEVODIONA"<D>. Um processo para a produção de (6R)-2,2,6-trimetilciclohexano-1,4-diona (levodiona), envolve colocar em contato a 2,2,6-trimetil-2-ciclohexeno-1,4-diona, com pelo menos um tipo de levedo capaz de converter a 2,2,6-trimetil-2-ciclohexeno-1,4-diona em (6R)-2,2,6-trimetilciclohexeno-1,4-diona, e selecionado a partir do grupo de espécies que consistem de Saccharomyces rouxii (Zygosaccharomyces rouxii), Saccharomyces delbrueckii (Saccharomyces unisporis, Torulaspora delbrueckii) Saccharomyces willianus, Zigosaccharomyces bailii e Candida tropicalis, e equivalentes funcionais, subculturas, mutantes e variantes de tais espécies, em água, um solvente orgânico miscível em água ou uma mistura de água e o referido solvente orgânico miscível em água que contenha, pelo menos uma fonte de carbono assimilável, seguida pelo isolamento da (6R)-2,2,6-trimetilciclohexeno-1,4-diona resultante a partir do meio de reação depois da reação ter sido completa. A levodiona é um intermediário útil para a produção de carotenóides, de modo especial da (3R,3'R)-zeaxantina.
