Abstract

<B>SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA CONTROLE DE SOBRECARGA AGREGADA<D> Um sistema e método de comunicações sem fio controla carga de rede mediante o escalonamento seletivo de sinais de transmissão agregados de estação base. Em uma implementação, sinais de transmissão agregados de canais em fase (I) e em quadratura (Q) são multiplicados por um coeficiente de escalonamento enviado por um controlador de sobrecarga agregada baseado nos níveis de carga em relação a um limiar. Ao escalar sinais de transmissão agregados de canais I e Q quando as medições do nível de carga indicam uma situação de carga elevada, medições de controle de conexões feitas em terminais de assinantes móveis, tais como intensidade de sinal recebido da estação base, taxas de erro de bit/quadro e razão entre sinal e ruído, serão afetadas, induzindo deste modo terminais de assinantes móveis nos limites de setor/célula e solicitarem conexão a um setor/célula adjacente. Portanto, a carga é balanceada entre vários setores/células para aumentar a capacidade da rede e impedir sobrecarga sem se basear em um esquema de admissão/bloqueio de chamada.
