Abstract
"USO DE UM ANTAGONISTA DE NMDA DE BAIXA AFINIDADE,E, MéTODO PARA TRATAR OU PREVENIR A DEPRESSãO EMUM MAMìFERO". A invenção diz respeito ao uso de certosantagonistas de NMDA de baixa afinidade como agentesantidepressivos. Os compostos preferidos incluem os compostos dafórmula (I): em que R^ 1^ é piridila, fenila ou 4-fluorofenila; R^ 2^Wé fenila ou 4-fluorofenila; R^ 3^é hidrogênio, alquila C~ 1-6~ oumetoxicarbonila; R^ 4^ é hidrogênio ou metila e R^ 5^ é hidrogênioou COCH~ 2~NH~ 2~ e seus sais farmaceuticamente aceitáveis.
